Wow, I did not see this coming...

Good bye Shinya, you were the best on the Green Meanie! Hope you will get on well with the RSV4.

I am really curious because Shinya is not all about aggressive racing as we know...but in WSB you have to do it in order to achieve something.

Anyway, if the RSV4 will be alright he can be more successful than in MotoGP.

According to that article, there could be over 30 bikes in SBK next year!

Man 2009 is looking like a fantastic season for SBK.

You got that right! I can't wait for '09!!!

WOW!!! Alex Hoffman must be PISSED!!! He has been doing all the donkey work for Aprilia over the last year and a half and he was expecting to get that ride. He was testing for them when I was over there, had a chat with him and he thought the ride was basically his.

Just a quick pick of the German, dude is a really fun guy.

without a clear championship favourite for '09, (haga has been too inconsistent and will be on a new bike etc) all the factories will be sensing a chance to lift the title. all except kawasaki that is!

WSB '09 will be a good season IMO and i hope it provides us with the same or even better racing than '08

did you talk to him about his parting motogp and the d'antin saga ?

That would be so bad for the forum cause they both suck.

I guess Aprillia need seasoned riders who has been around when they are new in WSBK.
I actually think Nakano had some bad luck with the choice of rides in Moto GP,jumping on a Honda when they were the worst they have been for years, but on the other hand he should have been faster at the end of this year to be interresting.Last year he had an excuse as Satellite Honda really sucked.

By the way,i wonder how he will get along with Biaggi. Two opposites to say the least.

Yeah, we were talking when that happened. It basically happened like the press said it did. He pulled out of a race because he was injured and was down in around 17th with no real chance of scoring points. Probably thought, "whats the point and I dont want to hurt myself further." So D'Antin kicked his ... out. I can really understand both sides of the argument. However, this was not the first riff between Alex and the team.

What, you don't think Ben Spies has a chance. Some folk thought he was going to be the next best thing in Motogp

Great move for Shinya but I feel for Hofmann, I thought that seat was secure for him. Still WSBK 2009 gets better and better.

Wonder why he is leaving GP. He is better than De Puniet, his team mate and the rest of back marker and Suzi riders. He was strong, determined and finished on the podium with Green Machine and far better than Hopper.

If he is going for the pay with Aprilia, then good luck for Shinya.

Shinya will become Champion in WSBK.

I genuinely hope so, that Aprilia looks the business.

It would be irony after all these years of Japanese factories pushing Japanese riders if WSBK was won by either Nori or Shinya on an Italian bike.

I like the symmetry of that.

I hope so. Love to see Nitro Haga ride that Duke in 2009 and becoming the 1st Japanese WSBK Champion on that bike.
