This track seemed a bit of a 'stone track last year, so I'm hoping this is safe.

If stoner doesn't win unless due to misfortune I think his title defence is over. I think there is a fair chance of him winning if the bike is as it was at qatar.

I think the lack of pneumatic valve engine will be a big negative for Honda.Has anyone heard if they are going to have it in 3 weeks.

I hope we'll get classic battle between Rossi and Stoner. Haven't seen it yet so far!
Rossi HAS to win.
 
I don't think that Dani or Nicky have much of a chance at shaghi. The straights are way too long and they do not have the top end speed. I think that the best that Dani can do here is 3rd. I also look for the Ducatis to do better here. So

1. Rossi (2nd last year, man is dying for a win, Bridgestones will be dialed in for him)
2. Pedrosa (4th last year, Honda motor in it's current state is plenty fast)
3. Lorenzo (guy is on a roll, likely to podium again, but doubt he will have 4 poles in a row)
4. Hopkins (so long as they stick with the current package and he feels better, Bridgestones track)
5. Hayden (if he can keep it on two wheels he has shown he has the pace to finish top 5)
6. Edwards
7. JT
8. Stoner (problems with the Ducati won't be worked out yet)
9. Dovi
10. Capirex

well it all depends on the track conditions wet or dry or both

1 rossi he needs a win this early in the season

2 pedrosa his lack of weight gives him a chance on the straights

3 lorenzo as he seems to be the most cosistant this early on

4 toseland i think he has got a taste of things to come

5 edwards is always the nearly man and needs a good finish

offs will be stoner,hayden.

Do not expect much from Lorenzo.
why ? a lot of peeps are saying he wont do well ,is there a reason that's escaped me or is it wishful thinking ?
 
Well Jorge did have surgery a few days back. He will probably be sore going into that race. A nuisance that will probably be overcome by race day, but it could affect him in qualifying, where many races are won. If he cannot get in the top 10 in qualifying, his shot at a podium is gone.

Still Rog, were talking about the Lewis Hamilton of MotoGP 2008. Struggling for Lewis was a 4th, 5th place finish. I still expect Jorge to finish in the top 10, just not as a race contender.


And Rog, I have Jorge on my motogpmanager team with Rossi. I hate to see one of my riders do bad, but his ascent to the top has to have a little bump, and a trip to China could do that.
