Was it on old Chinese proverb that says
"Do unto others as only you would do unto yourselves"
or maybe that was just my mother speaking.
It seems as if that same cheap flimsy crap China exports
to all of us was also used in the construction of the
Shanghai Circuit.

"damaged by a fierce storm"

did'nt a certain storm almost wipe out new orleans recently

seems like we all make crap not just the chinese

Part of the typhoon that has been circling around Taiwan and before that Japan has been causing a bit of grief. Had a Typhoon warning here in Hong Kong the other day, though it didn't amount to much but some gusty winds and plenty of rain. Back to Shanghai some of those stands will not be missed as they never get filled!

Here too...the floods just subsided in some areas...work/school was cancelled for two days.

Pity it didn't destroy the whole circuit so we could ditch it and get Istanbul back!!

japan is made of concrete literally when the cat 5 typhoon hit some of the robots were still going to work.

also speaking of china I saw on the news here in japan a company in china was selling like riceballs but instead of meat instead (it was like curry flavored) they were using cardboard

We don't make cheap crap, but we are dumb enough to encourage people to live below sea level. Then after a Cat 4 hurricane puts the city under water we are dumb enough to spend billions of dollars trying to convince them to come back.

By the way building "cheap crap" isn't a sin. Do you really want an action figure that lasts you until youre 35? or a computer that's engineered to last for 20 years?

However, pegging your currency to the currency of your major trading partner is akin to predatory dumping. In true political fashion; however, we don't dare declare such a big country might be corrupt, we just force them to buy our bonds so we can live above our means for a few decades.

Priceless

I wish the rest of those lifeless F1 rings would crumble too. Moto GP needs real race tracks.
