Second test of the season is about to come up this week....

What will everyone be watching and talking about .... well it should be the Ducati GP15....and if it does the trick for Dovi and Iannone.....

Also, I believe I read that Yamaha were going to finally bring out the seamless gearbox....so that should help Rossi and JLo get even more in touch with MM....

I really hope though that CC and Redding get themselves sorted, and can start being more toward the top 6....pushing P.Espargus and Smith back a few spots....

Other than that i am sure a few people on here will be praying the New Honda RS is more sorted so that those rider arent in danger of being caught and passed by Aprilia...

One way or other things are ramping up and we should all be happy about it...

Is Rossi enjoying the new fully-seamless transmission?

And yes

So was it wet/damp all session then? Seems weird the Suzuki's being so near the front, something must be amiss!!!

Day one only Pirro was supposed to be on the GP15... Don't know if that was the case or not.

Just saw this on Kropo's site:

The second test at Sepang has gotten underway in sweltering conditions, the heat much greater than at the first test two weeks ago, making the track greasier and times slower.

The plan for Ducati changed at the last minute, meaning that the Ducati riders took the GP15 out today, instead of waiting until Tuesday, as was the original plan. Andrea Dovizioso's fourth quickest time was set on the GP14.3, however, the bike Ducati brought to the Sepang 1 test, while Iannone has been doing runs on the GP15, his quickest time set on the new bike.

Marco Melandri must be going slow on purpose to get fired....I would much rather have seen him in WSBk fighting or the win than where he is now....

Ducati is going well...for at least a lap...i want to see what happens when we take away their softer tires....

so, ffs, can anybody please clarify whether Dovi and Iannone set their times on the super soft or medium compound?! according to Dovi's press release they used both, med in the cool (fast) morning and the ss in the 'time attack' (?!) in the afternoon heat. I am confused by this, but the GP15 really does look like the big blast they needed - great season ahead!

MM - Shows why he is king again...
JLo - I have a feeling he will be the Biaggi of 2015 again....(e.g. MM will mentally destroy him)
CC - Brilliant for 1 lap...that needs to translate to podiums and wins...
Iannone - Great, but lets see what happens with the soft tire...
Rossi - keeping pace, and looking forward to racing...
Smith - Showing some pace over his teammate...
Dani - Looking forward to 2016 already...
Suzuki is looking as good as the Ducati at this point....
P.Esparagus - will be looking for a new job by june....and hoping that is at Ducati / Suzuki...
Redding - Is definitely struggling....not good....
Hayden - Top RS honda again....and yet still 17th.....not good him or honda...
Miller - Not failing to disappoint....
Melandri - still just going round hoping to get fired before Qatar.....

MICHELIN TIRE TEST NEWS

Thursday's Michelin MotoGP tyre test at Sepang has seen a series of high-speed accidents.

Aleix Espargaro (Suzuki), Jack Miller (Honda), Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati) all fell at either the Turn 3 right-hander or Turn 5 left hander. Turn 5 had also been the scene of three accidents for factory test riders earlier this month.

Fortunately Lorenzo, like the other riders, walked away.

Today's test marks the first time that race riders have tried the prototype 2016 Michelin rubber. Michelin is taking over from Bridgestone as MotoGP's exclusive supplier from next season. Riders are prevented from speaking to the media due to existing contracts with Bridgestone, with no official lap times available.

Prior to Thursday the MotoGP riders had spent three days at Sepang on Bridgestone tyres.

With the GP15 Dall'Igna (temporarily) sacrificed stability under brakes to make a bike that turns very easily. Now he'll work in the other direction to reach the best compromise. They should find it fairly quickly because the new bike offers more room for setup changes.

No surprise Dovi, one of the strongest riders on the brakes, suffered this change more than Iannone, as it hits a phase in which he usually gains precious cents of time.

It was a positive debut for the GP15... their declared objective is 1 win this season. Don't know if that will happen and who of the two Andreas will do it, but what I know for sure is that Iannone wants to take the fight to Marquez, just as he did in Moto2. Should that happen, it could be seriously entertaining... :)
