Oh, so Rossi's only reason for winning so many races was because his rivals like Biaggi, Capirossi and so forth were weak competition? Let's see Marquez try and win on 500cc monster with no fly-by-wire throttle-control, anti-wheelie and anti-brake lock electronics and the lot.
The 500s weren't unridable monsters; plenty of not especially good riders won on them. Regis Laconie, Simon Crafar and Alberto Puig all won races on 500s. Are you saying Marquez couldn't do something that those three could?
