Are we all asleep (me included)?

Don't know what to make of this. Hard to take it seriously when the release of information has not gone smoothly. I suspect that anyone associated with the series is probably going to withdraw support for fear of reprisal.

Something tells me that Ray Blank is behind this.

What do you mean, we are asleep? That all sounded very bogus. And Ulrich never misses an opportunity to air out in this way.

If it was meant to be a serious breakaway, Ulrich's story has all but ended that dream. No one is going to want to be publicly associated with this guy anymore. If there will ever be a breakaway series, it'll be fronted by the manufacturers.

I didn't think of it that way, Jum. Don't bite the hand that feeds. In fact, caress that hand. If someone else tries to grow a hand, bite it off. Ulrich knows what's good for him.

The only manufacturers in AMA are Suzuki and Yamaha. BMW are sort of involved through Larry Pegram's team. Doesn't it make you wonder what the other manufacturers are up to? What about all of the personnel the manufacturers laid off as well? What about the missing racing outfits like Erion, KWS, and Attack? What about all of the former technical suppliers like Millennium Technologies, JE pistons, and the dozens of other parts manufacturers who are probably reluctant to pay homologation fees?

Maybe this guy is completely delusional b/c some of the venues he's listed are quite unbelievable, but why concoct an elaborate hoax?

It seems unprofessional, disorganized, and highly unlikely, but it's not like the guy has nothing to work with. Half of the old AMA is sitting on the sidelines, and a majority of the AMA riders are barely getting paid.

Attack was/is working with the Cycle World team with Eric Bostrom and JD Beach. Don't know if they've found any more money or not, but it's not as if they're actively passing on the AMA. And I believe Erion is in a similar situation with the Roadracingworld.com team. Involved, but not a lot of money out there. With all the people I've been talking to in the series, the low TV numbers and small attendances are killing the sport. That's not going to change without the factories pouring money into the sport again. And I don't think the likes of Honda and Ducati are going to leave the future of Superbike racing in the states in the hands of some web-developer who's never been involved in the sport.

My personal opinion? Some over-zealous fan who dreamt up a schedule and figured, "how hard could it be?".
