Safety car vs Red Flag

Just glimpsed at the rear of this thread as the safety car made todays DTM race a bit boring - although perhaps that was more due to crap tv reception. Anyway in F1 for me the safety car often adds excitement because it bunches the cars up again - especially if some .... like massa is 20 seconds ahead

. So for me losing the advantages built up makes it fun. Which makes an idea of a limiter make a "safety system" situation boring.

However...that is F1. Bike racing is so much closer and would feel unfair to allow the advantages to be cut - hence peoples opinions (haven't read everything) here. Where as with F1 it feels fair to re join up a train when a train race is going on and an accident happens.

Thinking about it - technology like the radio and remote controlled usage seems slightly contradictive when (hopefully I'm wrong) they seem to malfunction - it happens when they say they were without radio all race, etc.

If they can pull this off safely, it could be an effective system.

Radio between helmets technology exists for a while now, even mobile phones… They don’t use it so the rider does not get distractions in his concentration on the matter at hands, can be potentially dangerous. Imagine being inches apart from other rider’s back wheel in full leaning angle on a long turn at 200km and with 6 or 7 riders as close behind you, suddenly from pits, whom do not have the same perspective and views, call you up to say: “Calling rider… traction control is taking over!”… Should we put an ending message saying: “This message will autodestruct itself! Bye now!”…
