I'm in Doha now, it's cancelled. A lot of events worldwide have been cancelled including the Geneva Auto Show and Baselworld 2020. I'm sure there will be a lot more cancellations in the near future.

This could throw a spanner in the works for a lot of the fly away rounds including the first round or two in Europe if the other fly always go ahead.

Yes, it is going to turn into quite the logistical challenge. Many riders and team members will avoid going home (or to potential travel affected countries between rounds)

Also, kropo reports that the motogp bikes are already in Qatar, with no personnel available to repack them for shipping to Thailand or the US.

It’s being reported now that Thailand has been suspended indefinitely.

It comes as no surprise that conspiracy theorists are now sure that this has all been done to favour Marquez. I wonder how all those same people would feel if the race went forward without people who’ve been to Italy able to go....

Potentially no moto2 & 3. I read that clinical mobile staff are not present in Qatar with numbers required to hold a race meeting.

Kinda sucks cause we all waited months for a new season, but in the end it's only racing. There are more important things in the world happening at the moment.

The engines are sealed the Thursday before the first race, which is now over a month away...

Do we think we are going to see any brave factories doing engine development over the next few weeks and letting their test riders have the final say?

Macca

I would think that the USA round will be postponed as well due the USA new travel restrictions announcement this weekend and the covid19 cases increasing in the USA

Yes & no, I keep going to work in an international environment & get exposed every day & have a pregnant woman.

I want to watch my races which i have been waiting on for months. This was important for me as I need one escape valve which is usually motogp

Makes sense really. Wait to see what happens with this travelling stuff. There still might be real problems for the Italians though

Italian Prime Minister announces nationwide lockdown

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte says movement will be restricted across the whole of Italy to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.

People who want to travel outside the areas where they live will need to demonstrate they need to do so for their work, for their health, or for other strictly defined reasons.

Mr Conte said the decision was made to defend the most fragile members of the community.

The restrictions will take effect on Tuesday, and like those in northern Italy, will last until April 3.

All public gatherings will be banned and sporting events will be suspended.

"There won't be just a red zone,'' Mr Conte told reporters, referring to the quarantine order he signed for a vast swath of northern Italy with a population of 16 million over the weekend.

Italy registered 1,807 more confirmed cases as of Monday evening (local time), for a national total of 9,172.

With the latest numbers, Italy again overtook South Korea as the country with the most cases outside China. The number of dead in Italy also increased by 97 to 463.
