Rossi's new PistaGP helmet

Since you're a Rossi fan, I'll post my favorite Vale design. It was after Indy I actually stayed at the same hotel he stayed and saw him come in Sat night after midnight. We rode the same elevator. I just nodded at him, but didn't say a thing, it looked lke he had just come back from an eventful night out in town. The next day he crashed in the race. The next GP he came out with this helmet poking fun at himself.

Maybe it was a bit too eventful if he crashed the next day. Or did you make some bad gay jokes in that elevator moment, with that having the same impact on him the next day during the race as it has on me ...

I like the helmet... this guy seriously has the nicest helmets on the grid IMO (not because I am VR fan)

I'll post pics of mine later. I need to clean it up. This weekend MDub and I went for a ride down his favorite backroad. I ended up getting mud all over my helmet.

Two guys one bike. Man those are some good times. Jauoa you should join us sometime. I may even let you wear my fruity rainbow helmet.



do you watch motogp or do you just like lids? I mean you joined a motogp forum and started a thread because of a helmet you like. Thats kinda weird.

The helmet looks like a Bopper's wet dream. "I can proclaim my love for Valentino!" No thanks.



IMO, it's garish and ugly. The 'cute' turtle completest the train wreck. (Think: Transformers meets Hello Kitty.)



I'm shopping for a helmet myself. Why does damn near every lid out there look like Michael Bay threw up on it? All I want is a simple design, without all the flash and bling. One that will look good with my 80's bike. Why is that so hard to find?

Geo, ya grumpy old ...., do what I did, buy a plain white one, and then take it to helmet designers, and they will make it look however you want.

Did an awsome job.

If you cant find someone local, these guys can do designs for you to approve. Tell them which model helmet you want, they can get it and then paint it and send it over.

That has a lot to do with the amount of money spent on his lids... not to mention his 'design' skills... they're all a little metrosexual, those skinny Italian boys... it goes with their handbags and little doggies and manicures...

That's not bad, Jum.

It combines modest bling with retro, and is, at least to my Grumpy Old ...... eyes, not too shabby! I don't think I'd wear it - if nothing else, it's still a little too busy, and the colors clash with my ride.

Eh, pure white would be good for the Aridzona heat, but is a little too bland, even for me.



Ooh, a Guzzi is something I always wanted. I really like the angular look that most have. The engine is unique and, with a 'proper' (minimal!) pipe, they sound great.



My Gpz turbo is coming finally coming together. It's going to look much like:

but with a shorter, angled, brushed stainless exhaust, similar to the one here:

and a brushed (not polished) satin aluminum 'chin' piece like this:

I might also wind up with the black intercooler seen in the last picture. You can find them in the VW boneyard for next to nothing. The aluminum ones look so much better, but I may not have the $ to blow on a quality unit.







At any rate, the bike's graphics are relatively sedate, and a blinged-out, super-busy helmet will just look silly and out of place. If anyone's got suggestions.....

I love motoGP, and yes I like nice helmets to. I don't have to choose between the 2... Started the topic because it was a Rossi helmet and it's a sick helmet... thought some other people might like it as well. I see some nice helmets coming through...
