Rossi wins

Vale is a good old fashioned racer. By that I mean he is willing and able to ride around a bikes problems in the same way Rainey and to a lesser extent Schwantz could. Respect to that obscenely talented man!

yep i agree the thing with rossi is his excellent racing brain and ability to ride a bike on the edge consistently for laps in the race, he just knows what he will need to either win or get the best out of the bike. I think his ability to set-up the bike is fantastic did anyone notice the bike stabability compared to qualiying (non qualy tyres) how the yamaha improved in the warm up i never know if the bike was changed or rossi altered his riding style (as he does) but u got to hand it to vale he always extrats the maximum out of the bike

without burgess it would be extremly hard, but ooost how many times can rossi do it? on a bike thats behind honda and it is always down on top power just check the speed traps sumtimes hes 12th or 15th, he must do sumthink apart from just sit there cus he makes up so much distance without always getting a fast lap,, im baffled at times but i just think we r watching a true legend every week,,

Rossi surpassed legend when he left HONDA for YAMAHA and still wn the championship....he's at GOD level now!

Another excellent showing from all again, shame about KR and Tamada, they were both giving it enthusiasm.

I was thinking about this earlier:

Valentino Rossi reminds me of Michael Schumacher (Their luck and greatness, sadly for Schumi though..)

Dani Pedrosa reminds me of Fernando Alonso
Casey Stoner Reminds me of Kimi Raikkonen

I'm not trying to take away from Rossi. I've said it before, he is one of the greats and the best of his generation. I just believe that he might not be in the same position without Jeremy Burgess. He deserves a lot of credit and I don't think he gets it. Just the same for Pete Benson, the lead mechanic for Hayden. There have been weekends where Hayden qualifies on the third row and is absolutely nowhere and Pete and the boys make a few adjustments over night and tweak a few more things in warm up and suddenly Hayden is a threat to win.

What I'm trying to say is Rossi and Hayden have not been at the top of the time sheets all season on Fridays and Saturdays only for them to make some adjustments Saturday night and Sunday morning and to be competitive by Sunday afternoon. A lot of credit is deserved by Burgess and Benson, IMHO.

That was probably one of the best GP races I've seen...

There just doesn't seem to be limit as to what Rossi can do on a bike..

ooost i understand wot ur saying m8 and good call on benson, but does doohan come into the same picture under burgess then? lets be honest wot can u do without a good one behind u? man utd and sir alex, hehehehe had to get that one in lol, muhamed ali and wots his name urrrrm forgot thats hin angelo dundee, aeroplane with a lousy engine down it goes lol, but ooost i do agree burgess a legend in his own trade,, just look at rossi when he does pull it off burgess gets his applauds..

Looks like I`m gonna have to wait for Laguna for Shinya`s Lap 'em all in a green, mean win effort....

At the last round after Rossi presented his bike to the camera in park ferme and then got hugs from some of his crew while Burgess was stood back, he then looked at Burgess and they both embraced. There's a lot of respect and admiration between those two.

I agree that all the mechanics do a great job.

Don't get me wrong here winner, because I'm not trying to take anything away from Rossi. I just wanted to get the point across that Burgess gives Rossi the opportunity to be competitive every weekend and he did the same for Doohan. I'm not saying they wouldn't have won championships without him, but his presence certainly doesn't hurt.

i know ooost ur not knocking him,, and ur dead rite without burgess differant routes might have been taken 2 legends combining mean greatness,,, hey just checked u out on ur myspace thinky hhahahahahahahahah i had u down as skinny black hair and about 6,3, ahahah imnot saying ur fat either so calm dowm ooost lol
