Rossi Out After Malaysia

Interesting stuff,thank you Krop.
<

He should have done this when he broke his leg or just after. Good on him. Yamaha and Lorenzo have given him some fire. Next year should be interesting.

Valentino is nothing if not bloody minded (not that as a mick doohan fan I would criticise him for this).

Although I don't like the idea that I won't get to see ROSSI race again this season, I hope he does rest up, there isn't much left to be gained out of this season for ROSSI, I think he be wiser to get the op done and get plenty of rest for the new season & bike. The older you get, the longer it takes to heal.

It will interesting to see who they get to ride in his place though!

Pretty sure current thinking is that Spies will be put in the factory team early and Crutchlow will be taking Spies' place in the Tech3 team.

Pretty sure there will be a lot of angry Aussies if Rossi does this, but if he does need the surgery and Yamaha isn't going to let him test at Valencia, good on him. Although, being more of a Spies fan than a Rossi fan, I'm probably biased

After what we saw last weekend my initial reaction is disappointment because I was hoping for more of that for the rest of the season. But, for Rossi, this is probably the best decision for next year. Yamaha can complain all they want, but the fact is (like many have said in the other topic), it took both of them to battle against eachother. If lorenzo didnt want that he should have just held back.

Hopefully Rossi comes back next year at full strength and we get to see racing like last weekends all the time

Why?

I think he needs to have a break ( he's getting a bit frustrated ) and get the shoulder done.

PS Does your last name start with a D? I know/knew a Brydie from Newy.

Prob because he has a lot of fans there and they'd want to see him present at their gp??

You know I was wondering about this. Is it possible Lorenzo is a more sinister manpulative ..... than Rossi has been? Maybe he has used the whole thingto his advantage evenmore than we know? Rossi out, not released to test the Duc. and forced to start next season very much onthe back foot ............ I wonder?

Like saying that Lorenzo got in a scrap with rossi knowing that it would be a bit aggressive then complaining to his yamaha bosses about it to make sure rossi won't test?? seems a bit too well-thought out to me. (if thats what you mean lol)

Hmmm mayhaps??

But every time they pan the crowd at PI its a sea of red and a very occasional yellow hat amongst it. Its never like just about every other round, they even like Pedrosa here

<
( though possibly mostly cos they think the guy cops a load of crap elsewhere

)

I don't think the masses here care either way if Rossi is there or not

Why not? Cue the twilight zone music

You guys are allways dreaming up wacko things that Rossi is supposed to have done/be doing, mayhaps thats also Lorenzo's secret agenda

DON'T blame Rossi for Whoregay bringing it to Vale

Thanks for posting here Kropo. You do us an honor. (Though we all probably shamelessly use your site for our information needs).

About the situation.

Allow me to preface it with this; I've had the privilege of being involved in minor level racing (in a rather minor capacity), yet I've come to realize motorcycle racing is made up of over sensitive pouting egos across the board.

Yamaha, regardless of how they handled the situation, and by all standards, did so very diplomatically, will now have to deal with various fan opinions.

Lorenzo, is doing what other riders have done, that is to advocate for themselves, and is doing it in stark similar fashion as some others.

I'm sure there are many injuries that many riders on the grid would like to get corrected during the season. Some infact have chosen to address their issue without delay as it was detrimental to their health, not just detrimental to their racing.

The parallels are there but the reactions have been unparalleled.

Very good point.

As in Rossi possibly taking off because he is not racing well and people are ok with that. (myself included) But with Stoner taking 3 races off with his "mystery illness" every1 criticized him (I did a lot) even tho it affected his daily life not just on the track. Double standard
