Rossi appeals FIM stewards decision

This wont go anywhere, they are just going through the motions thats all.

If he wasnt in with a shot at the title then the team would just appeal at the track as they did, they got nothing.

As he is in with a shot at the title all be it it VERY slim shot now, then they would have to go through the motions of all the options in the process they can & this is just that.

If the penalty got dropped the internet would go into meltdown, this forum included.

The integrity of the championship has been severely dented already & im not sure changing things now is going to make things any better.

Face it the damage has already been done, just remains to be seen as to what damage has been done to individuals careers as a result.

If Marquez hadn't accused Rossi of being a cheat in Assen and Argentina and had a personal vendetta then NONE of this would have happened!!! For me Marquez is the one who should be sanctioned, openly calling a competitor a cheat without a shred of proof!!!

Rossi has raced 20 years and only had run in's/small spats with direct championship rivals as is the norm, this is a scenario created by ONE guy by the name of Marquez who doesn't like losing!!!

I think if you look at the entire situation & how it has developed, they are both at fault & none of the 3 deserve the title.

If i were in charge of this clusterf**ck of a championship I would take away all 3 riders points, start them all at the back & let the title go to a scrap between the 3 to 4 riders that have not brought the sport into disrepute purely for their own gain & that have ridden well busting their balls all season.

So any rider talking .... about any other rider should be sanctioned?

Vale could really .... himself here. If he starts toward the front and they rule against him, he loses it. I think even starting at the back, he has the chance to work his way up. It still think it's completely possible for him to get back into a position to win.

If the decision gets overruled, then expect a destruction derby at Valencia, as no riders will be expecting penalties for anything that they do...

Are you saying that they could hold out on making a decision until after the race?

Yeah, that would put Rossi in a tough spot.

I think he has a 50/50 shot from the back. Specially if JL can't beat both Honda's. Might go up to 70/30 if JL can't beat either.

Wait, what? Marquez never called Rossi a cheat at all. He didn't agree with the result at Assen it was Rossi who called Marquez a cheat last Thursday, it was Rossi who punted someone off track and it was Rossi who brought this all on himself. Get Rossis .... out of your mouth and maybe you will be able to see reason.

Even if he wins his appeal, he has more of a possibility to save face if he makes his way up through the pack.

I am a fan of Vale, but he's making it difficult to be so...

Yes VR is right in appealing the decision.

All through this year, Yamaha has favored JL for the championship, treating JL almost like a God!

- VR was given a penalty just because JL complained - even though JL was on pole!
- JL said that VR should be given a bigger punishment after the MM incident
-Yamaha always gives VR a slower bike than JL - consistently!

JL can get away with murder it seems!

The truth should be known. The video should be available to everyone in slow motion. The fact that MM hit VR first, and that VR only had an automatic reflex reaction and did NOT kick MM should be known.

MotoGP is becoming horribly biased by visibly supporting JL and MM. No point watching such a biased sport.

So, what would your judging be if an incident happened at Valencia where one rider decided to make a move up the inside of Valentino, slowed down to a snails pace, barely turned into the corner and just so happened to knock Rossi off?

Using the logic of the people that want this decision overruled, then no penalty what so ever could be given to that particular rider.

I just can't deal with the stupidity and blindness.

Rossi was punished because he did something dangerous not because Yamaha favour Lorenzo. And he cashed the MM incident. Like all of it including the rumour(started by him) that Marquez was impeding him on Sunday.

My opinion is that MM will not battle JL. To "beat" Rossi he need to go with his plan until to the end.

I do not believe that.

All these guys, (all, all 23 or ever how many) are egomaniacs. Racers!

If they see a checker flag, they are going to run over there own mothers to win.
