Espargaro has the look of a man who knows he's been beaten. Scott was masterful, leading nearly every lap. What more can you ask for.

This championship might be quite important for the two of them. With a 20 year old Marquez in MotoGP, when will Redding or Pol Espargaro get a chance to win another championship?

Espargaro is the best racer in yrs what ppls problem with that ?

Yam have bent over backwards to sign him to front there motogp challenge in the near future

he's better than anyone ? Yam have seen that

Dont tell me Yam might have got it wrong ;)

Did any of you guys watch last season? Despite not winning this race on account of being unable to see through the tears in his eyes, Pol is actually a decent rider.

Redding is a completely different rider compared to last year. We could easily have been saying the same stuff about him when he was crying over being fatter than the other kids.

I agree, Pol is a decent rider. It's just this year Redding is a more decent rider

Damn I wish more and more they were both going to Tech3. Although the stress of it would probably end in Herve having a heartattack on the pitwall.

Good post, Sloth. Not to mention that the contracts (not to mention the behind the scenes negotiations) were likely decided before Redding's change in form. Lex posted it somewhere recently: Surfeit of talent, dearth of good bikes.

Pol Espagaro is an extremely good rider, there can be no doubt of that.  For a few years now he has been incredibly fast, unbeatable on his day and generally fighting for championships against some pretty impressive opposition. I don't particularly like him and I am a bit annoyed that he seems to be getting better opportunities than Redding, Crutchlow and his brother, all of whom I think are definitely better riders, my real issue is that I think he will be the next Bautista, I don't see that polished finish that you see in someone who will go all the way

Is the Scott/Pol comparison similar to Pedrosa/Stoner? Pedrosa had more breaks than Stoner, but Stoner showed himself the better rider over time.

Not at all. By the time they were headed to MotoGP, Pedrosa was a 3x World Champ.

It's a bit early to say much about a Espagaro/Redding comparison as they have both had pretty up and down form looking at the past two seasons.
