Is it possible for two factory bikes in the same garage to have different sponsors? Kwak is considering it with Aspar. With Nicky on Michelins and his Red Bull sponsorship, could he be on a totally different looking bike? Marlboro may not be too pleased with Ducati at the moment. Maybe they'll both be on "Shell' bikes. Comments?
There shouldn't be any issue. The last time I looked, at Repsol HRC there are no Red Bull stickers anywhere on the bike. I believe Nicky and Pedrosa has Red Bull on their Helmets.
Others riders in the past have had drink sponsors that were different to their teams. Hopkins last year didn't have any issues with being a Monster Energy drink guy vs Vermulen and his sponsors nor Factory team didn't have any issues with product placement.
As far as I can see Nicky will sip out of a Redbull bottle and Stoner out of a Gatorade bottle.

Pure speculation. Basis is that Ducati has underperformed their sponsors expectations this year. Nicky is an expensive rider and might need additional money from supplemental sponsors like Shell, Red Bull and Oakley.

I would say the sponsor will still be marlboro next year or maybe that enel company. whatever it is it'll be red. i reckon nicky will continue to just have red bull on his helmet. can't see there being a red bull ducati.

All I know about the possiblity of a Red Bull sponsership is what I heard the commentaitores on eurosport say, that there was a plan for Red Bull to sponser Nicky on the Duc but that it won´t be happening after all.

And gsfan, I'm saying Marlboro probably expected more from Melandri. After Stoner won last year and Marco signed, they probably paid out the ..., just to have only one bike run at front.

Those are personal sponsors tho, like Rossi has KeraKoll.
Ideally sponsors would want to have their brand shown as much as possible so 2 bikes works out a better deal.

I'll believe it when I hear a Marlboro spokesman say it. They are lucky to even be in the series as a sponsor considering the state of anti-smoking legislation worldwide.

I thought that Ducati has Marlboro til 2010. Plus I think they should bring back all the old tobacco sponsors. Copenhagen for the chew crowd , Camel, ...... Lucky Strike now thats a mans smoke. .... I think I will start a series where the only sponsors can be .... that is bad for you like Mcdonalds, Burger king, Tobacco, Prescription drug companies those ..... have .... loads of money to burn. Ah lets see Taco bell with their grade "D" meat that says barely edible. One could argue .... even, Like have a big ..... on the side of the fairing. Now that would be some ..... Look at how many guys were ruined by ..... but smoking probably saved their lives and mosy likely their chick from being stabbed. Hey there's another one, KNives and guns, on the sides of the fairings, Which leads me to DEER those ...... animals kill shitloads of people. Man there are alot of things bad for you out there huh?
