rd3 Le Mans... picks, practice & qualy...possible SPOILERS!

don't look like spies is gonna have a fantastic season

Wayyy tooo early to make that judgement. He's placed higher in the first two races than several seasoned

veterans. Just because he had a mystery issue at the last race and is riding with a foot injury at this one

is hardly reason to speculate that his season might not go so well. I can see you're not a horse player.
<

There's been several times now Michael, in which Stoner's attitude is like: "Get out of MY way"... Is this his Track? Even if it was, does he want others to play with him and his ball?

It's standard practice that when a rider has slowed down to sighting-lap pace that they get the .... out of the racing line.

It's not mere courtesy. It's a safety issue.

well it's abit early to speculate on the entire season continuing in this direction. he's kinda startin like toseland did in his rookie season... great 1st race at qatar then the wheels kinda fell of the cart.... unlike the tose i think ben will overcome these problems...... eventually.

Ben Himself never said he was going to come in strong, I think he's been doing a good job so far for a rookie on a satelite bike. Bravo to Nicky this is his worst track and he managed to start in fifth. Judging by the starting grid, He might be able to grab himself another 4th tomorow. His last 2 starts have been awesome. Smart choice by Alvaro to sit out

Thanks for the information, I was also thinking about it.

btw, who's that on your avatar?

Hayden has made Stoner look ordinary the previous race and this qualifying performance Looks like some equity going on in the Duc garage, both riders are not that far apart speed wise. Probably makes Stoner want to jump to Honda faster.
<

And none gives him the birdie? Stoner still is a bit of a spoiled brat! (Or not just a bit).

Well first of all Hayden is looking good for being on an improved but still .... bike.
<

V, everybody knows that the ONLY spoiled brat in GP is Valentino Rossi. MotoGP has a Rossi spec tire that everybody must use. We know what happens when he doesn't have the best tire, I'm sure you remember. Oh and let me know when he stops crying about his teammate.
<

Hermano, you like making list, how many riders have got pissed when coming across a rider in the race line during qual that was cruising around? Can we put Rossi into that list or has it never happened?
<

Oh, and we both know if the Yamaha's behaved like the Ducs we'd hear the yellow army crying about how heroic VR is about riding a bucking bronco.
<

I didn't see the incident even though I watched the whole australian TV coverage; the dorna video coverage keeps breaking up here. I did see him not perturbed earlier in the day when baulked . How slowly was espargaro going and was he right on the racing line?.

I actually don't mind pedrosa. Not so keen on puig, although I am grateful for what he did for stoner and understand he has done a lot for other young riders.

Espargaro may have been slow (obviously ‘slower’) and in Stoner’s line. But he could have been in any other Rider’s line, which really is my point. I do not think it was specially aimed at bugging one of Stoner’s fast laps. So I am not sure if the reaction was correct! Also the heat of the moment is at play or course.

V, had Alex blown Rossi's fast lap he would have been hung by the nearest tree.

If Espargaro had bugged Stoner's last laps trying to hit it, I would have hanged him myself! By the time Espargaro did, he was just traffic (to any Rider, not to Stoner specifically) I think.

Perhaps I was obtuse; my point was the same as keshav's. If espargaro was going really slowly on the racing line ( I didn't see it so I honestly don't know) then it is a safety issue and he is entitled to be annoyed.

There is alot more going on in qual than the last lap buddy. Do you remember what happened to Melandri in Laguna when he hit a slower rider on the race line?

If a rider is not totally going for it - he does not belong in the fast lane. Just like in real life.

If you're on a 4 lane super highway and you're only doing 54 MPH - you don't drive in the

far left lane. Same principal applies in QP.
