absolutly amazing Wayne Rainey is just an amazing man Ive had the privilage of meeting him and shaking his hand twice. he is definetly one of my heroes not only in racing but in life. Seeing him is one of the highlights of laguna. I wonder what his son is up to now a days, does he race? he is about 17 years old by now

As the Kid said, meeting him is truly a privilege. I'm sure I speak for anybody who has shaken his hand and received a profound look into his eyes, the look back is piercing to your core and truly a life changing experience. The man was a great racer for sure, but he is even a greater example of how a man should face adversity, with dignity and perseverance. I also saw him ride a go-kart at Laguna a few years back. He’s still a consummate competitor.

Damn right, ive also had the privilege of shaking the man's hand and boy what a strong real man's hand shake he has too.
To go through what he has and still be involved in racing earned massive respect from me. He was one of my childhood heros. Watching Rainey and Schwantz battle is what "the good old days" is all about imo.

I named my youngest son Rainey. That is the kind of respect I have for him.
