I hated this race, it was sooo predictable.
When Rossi let Hayden pass and looked behind to see if someone was coming it was clear he was going to win it. His plan was to do a "Sete" on Hayden, follow him, studying his lines and then attack him in the last lap leaving the hapless Nicky 2nd. But when he looked back and saw Loris he knew he had to play plan B, attack now and get away.
Nicky was good, but he is the playing the part Sete played in 2004, and we know how that ended, I hope he gets smarter than Sete (and that 10€ bet I made may have some future).
Loris was very cool headed, it looks like if there is someone that can beat Rossi this year it's him.
Sete looked afraid of crashing, I think he was desperate to make it to the finish line and grab some points, Loris was better than him all the weekend.
Casey cooked his tires halfway, but even so it was a good performance. He was on pole and leading for a bunch of laps in just his 2nd MotoGP race.
Dani did a crap start, that costed him a chance for the podium, I guess being so little doesn't help when trying to keep the front wheel on the ground. But no excuses, he needs to improve his braking!!!
Melandri is xxxxxing ...... I never liked the guy since the 1999 125cc incident but today he could have catched Casey if he hadn't been busting Dani's balls when he knew he didn't have a chance to beat Dani because every lap Dani was getting to the finish line ahead of him. If he had let go Dani and tried to focus on his pace, he would've caught Casey in the end.
Elias was a let down too, he looked much better on FPs what happened?? I guess being sick didn't help, not very good.
Though not as bad as Colin, you know when your teammate beats you it's not good, when you teammate wins and you are ... NOWHERE it's scary.
Kawasaki was so dissapointing
When a journo caught Eckl telling their Bridgestone guy on Sat, we could just leave now since we don't have chance on the race it was clear it would be a BAD day today.
De Puniet didn't help much either.
Checa must be really down too, the preseason hope has turned into a sad reality, DUNLOPS SUCK.
Suzuki was ... embarrasing. It's not only a piece of junk, it's a totally unreliable piece of junk !!!
It was actually funny watching Hopper kick the Suzi, I don't blame him, though you know these Japs don't like to show their problems in public.
Tamada must be meditating on Hara-Kiri right now.
The D'antin boys I guess have acknowledged the fact that with crap tires, crap riders and unreliable engines there isn't much hope.
