<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bootsakah @ Feb 29 2008, 05:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I have thought about this situation between "is it the bike that matters more or the rider". I think for one weekend, they should have some off company come in to Moto GP. Lets say Triumph. Everyone gets the same bike and the same tire. They are allowed to setup the bike, but nothing more. Then they go race. I think this might settle the "who is the best rider" that everyone seems to be craving. They could do this as a pre-season thing, or better yet a post-season. Sort of like an all star race, hell let in guys from WSBK, Brit series, AMA.

When they look back at the history books thats when you see the truely great riders.

Stoner has the advantage right now but only if he can turn this advantage into a Rossi and win the title year after year.

If he can't then the argument is settled.

What the hell is wrong with West? He's handed a golden opportunity and he seems to be squandering it. He has been DIRE in testing. I remember him saying he doesn't even exercise enough.

I know it's testing, but this close to the season, it is telling is it not?

I looked at his profile before, he hasn't been on since January. And that was when testing began, if you get my hint.

Like many of the nice surprises from last season i think we will see West find a position behind the Hondas that underperformed so much last year.

Why did you bother putting "tests" between "John Hopkins" and "Sucks" he doesnt need to be testing to suck.

cant agree with that im afraid. it may take a season or 2 for the others to catch up to ducati, but catch up they will.
any rule change would be seen as bias and not good for the sport. the japs have 2 choices, spend money or get your ... kicked again.
