Someone seems to be on a mission. Already 1.2 seconds faster than last years lap record. No wonder the Japs want a 19k rpm limit.

Might Casey have tried out a Q tyre? He hasn't improved, and his time was mighty fast.

Happy JT's at the sharp end, proving he's not a one trick pony, equalling CEII aswell.

BTW, I'm calling it now. Marco is going to struggle badly this year on the Duke.

Well it looks like Primadrosa's hand is not 100% for sure but I am surprised to see Stick Daddy out of the top ten as well as Rizla. Repsol could be in for a long row to hoe.

Excuse me while I do a jig of joy and mourn the RC212V.

Guintoli should be on 18 with that time.

So the Ducatis are on positions 1, 15, 17, 18. Melandri, the second fastest Ducati rider, is 3.2(!) seconds behind Stoner. Yamahas are on 2, 5, 6, 7.

Is there still anyone who thinks that Stoner's bike is so much better than Rossi's?

some just don't want to hear that.
Been no updates for 3 hours now, and it should have just finished at the extended time of 1AM local.
Why is there no live timing on motogp.com?

That Ducati is a mysterious beast. Unfortunately for us, it looks like another run away year for stoner and many boring races

Well it's not his fault the others need to get their act together. I would take a guess that the cooler night conditions have something to do with the times being so much faster than last years race weekend.

At Le Mans the denser air, along with the cooler temperatures makes the cars run faster at night. However, due to my mechanical knowledge being that of a mouldy lemon, I don't know if the same would apply to GP bikes.

As a Hayden fan I'm contemplating suicide if things don't improve. Nonetheless, I will continue to root for him regardless. Go Hayden!

Oh, BTW, I’ve been thinking about this, I'm gonna root for Toseland this year as my foreign rider. While all the Brits still have Rossi as their favorite on their avatar (there're so in love with him); but no worries James, you'll have some English speakers rooting for you on this side. I wonder how long it will be before they jump on the JT bandwagon? As for me, I'm doing it now before I can be accused of a band wagoner as the Stoner fans have been called this year.

Cool dense air is conducive to higher horsepower, that's why some have experimented with things like water injection, and why turbos have intercoolers.

He's doing a great job so far isn't he?
He also seems a decent level headed guy. I'm hoping he has a great year too.

there needs to be some restriction to not allow anyone to pull away like stoner does, even when rossi was dominating, it wasnt this bad.....
