It's dissapointing that the 125s and 250s go there, but to boycott a GP weekend? At Laguna Seca? Are you serious? I love the USGP. Sure there's no 125s and 250s, but that track is awsome, and it's MotoGP after all. What would you prefer, having the USGP without the small bores or not having the USGP at all?
I think jumkie's right Dorna really wants to get into the US market, and that means adapting to it. What works in Europe dosen't work in the rest of the world. In America, bigger is better. Even over here, two strokes are on their way to extincion. Then there's the patriotic factor to consider. Of the 50 odd riders in the smaller classes, not one hails from the 'states. From a marketing perspective it makes so much more sense to have an AMA round. It is a bummer that we miss out on the 125s and 250s for a round, but faced with that or the removal of the USGP from the callender, I know whaty I'd choose. Less racing is better than no racing.
