Phillip Island MotoGP Testing

Hi all. I'm at work about an hour from the circuit. Still drizzling & skies are grey. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better.

Take a lunchtime drive and jump the cyclone fence at the end of Gap Road. There will be no one out Siberia way

Tempting, but with no bikes on track a little bit of a waste of time. Can anybody go on Friday or do you need a special pass?

I've only been to a couple of test session at PI. Mainly due to the midweek scheduling and the weather (take a day off to watch bikes not circulating at freezing PI).
But both times I've had a team pass.
But if you are close by, just dropping past the circuit roads can give you a taste of what's going on. Did that a couple of times - quick buzz down from Lang Lang

motogp.com is only doing live timing with this test? I'm not seeing any live video available.

Yep only live timing.

Probably for the better since all we got for Sepang were a bunch of tossers in Spain who didn't understand the virtue of shutting the .... up.

Dry??

You need to run in the wet or rain with these tires to see where they are at. I'd take anything that gives an idea on how to set the bikes up in the wet, and how the tires handle in the wet.

Pole position in the dry in October was MM with a 1:28.364.

12 seconds off that right now.

Hard to say since we don't know how hard anyone is pushing atm, and I doubt they are fully comfortable on the wet tires yet.
