"At Phillip Island Marquez definitely had speed up his sleeve as evidenced in the last two laps," Mladin said. "Was he screwing with Rossi? Who knows. Maybe so, but this stuff happens all the time. All racers think they owe someone else a touch up for being a ........."
Mladin continued, "Obviously Rossi seen something he didn't like at PI. (Then) at Sepang he decided to run Marquez wide. Still don't see what the big deal is about that incident. In no way did Rossi cause Marquez to crash. Marquez wanted back into the track and turned into Rossi. He could have braked to a complete stop then turned back onto the track. Rossi's leg came off the bike cause it got hooked onto Marquez."
And the events that came after the incident, with Rossi being sanctioned? Like Kevin Schwantz, Mladin seems to feel it was something that should have been handled in private.
"Personally," Mladin wrote, "I think it should have been settled in the pits like the good old days of racing. But thanks to all the do-gooding ......s in the world these days there are now rules and regulations in place at most events that tell you when you can fart and for how long."
