can anyone tell me why there is no Japanese round of the championship? with most of the manufacturers being Japanese i figured this would be a given. i have only been watching SBK since last season since it was the first time i was able find out how to watch the races so i don't know why this may be the case or if its always been this way. anyone know?

WSBk used to go to Sugo, and get owned by the Wild Cards.

The Ducati's on Michelin's never really worked there - and the round was dropped after '03.

I wonder why?

It used to be the same with British rounds. But yeah, it would be nice to see a Japanese round added to the list.

probably has alot to do with the fact that the japanese officially withdrew from said championship when they had that big blow up with the flaminis about the rules. they still to this day are not "officially" involved.

Haga has way too many fans on his ground. A race in Japan might trigger a mosh pit on the race track on race day. Japs are crazy and might even be willing to die Samurai style just to show love for Haga.

Yeah - I've watched those rounds a few times and the Japanese dominated like
they'd been riding that track 365 days a year. Europeans and Americans didn't
stand a chance.
