Nicky... don't bum yourself out

I had an opportunity to watch Nicky's post race interview on MotoGP.com and I must say that Nicky will learn that if it's not his time, then so be it.

He needs to look at the facts of the whole season and understand that Valentino is super human. He has faced adversity since race one. He was knocked off his bike going into turn one from the start of the race and battled back to post a 14th place finish picking up 2 points.

In China he had to withdraw because the front of the bike did not feel right to him. Low and behold, there was a chunk of rubber torn out of the front tire. At Lemans he was leading by 5 seconds and on his way to victory until his bike gave out. Same happened at Laguna Seca and he only had 2 laps to go.

Point being is that Valentino has had to overcome more that what Nicky faced in this last race and I have not seen him on the verge of losing it in front of the camera and or asking of his teammate to take second fiddle if they are fighting for the top spot at Valencia.

Nicky also needs to understand that on Sunday's race at Estoril, he stacked Dani one lap prior too their crash. The following lap and at the same corner, Dani felt he was too hot and braked in the corner and washed the frt end on the rumble strip. He was definitiely a good distance from Nicky but unfortunately his bike smacked his and caused the crash. It definitely is a racing accident.

Nicky needs to move on and get strong. Objective one is to win at Valencia. Dont worry where Valentino finishes, fate will decide if he wins the Championship or not. If he doesnt win it, it is because he had a determined defending champion who never quit all the way since race 1. Hopefully he will be able to learn from Valentino's determination and go on to win championships too

Your having a laugh mate, Valentino! Superhuman! take it to the Rossi forums please. Nicky's been exceptional this season, he's been the most consistant rider all season and there's probably reasons why Rossi has has so many failures this season. Maybe its to do with his massive head.

Interesting first post onyurtail,

Welcome to the forums.

Some of that made sense, but have to disagree also that Rossi is not superhuman.

Vale is not superhuman. Comments like that are just silly, and frankly, dear onyurtail, don't exactly endear either him or you to the Rossi-hating brigade.
Rossi is just human, like everyone else out on that track. Which makes it all the more fantastic the way he's managed to get back to the top of the points. And while passing comments that rossi is superhuman is a bit silly, it's even sillier to suggest that his tyre failure in China (for which Michelin officially apologised) his spill at Jerez (for which Elias apologised) or his engine failure at le mans could be anything to do with his 'big head'. Grow up! He's not big headed. He's got attitude and self confidence in buckets, something which if some other riders had more of, would result in a far more interesting championship for us all to watch.

Bikes ain't like F1, if your having that many issues with the bike its because there's a problem that wasn't resolved during testing. I dunno, maybe its because a certain 'big head' wanted the 06 engine in the 05 chasis. And I don't know why Michelin apologised to Rossi, its not like it happened to the other Michelin riders, it only happened to Rossi. Hmmmm..... wonder why

Michelin appologized to Rossi becuase they came out with thier new tires too late. These tires provide a bigger contact patch in the front which offers more grip. With more grip comes more stress on the frame and chasis of the bike. The new M1 frame was designed with some flaws that the old frame didnt have, but was still designed to work better with the current (at that time) michelin rubber. So the new tires caused major problems with the front end. That is why they tried to switch the frame for the old on and it worked.

I expected more from you guys than this.....witless "rossi bashing"..sure Hayden has been consistent, but he's just been good enough...he has hardly blown the racing world away with stellar performance..explain to us all how Vale doesn't behave superhuman (clutch) at times with massive adversity....please enlighten us with more than "take it to a bopper forum"....that's the age old cry of someone that disagrees, but can't explain why.....

Im still gonna stick with my theory but that also makes sense, still doesn't explain why It only happened to Rossi though.

Are you saying that I should agree that Rossi is a superhuman?
<
So just because I dont worship Rossi means that Im a Rossi basher
<
I wasn't aware that I bashing Rossi. And all that Superhuman BS belongs in a bopper forum.

If this is a ranking about the size of heads, I think that Roberts Jr skull is even larger than Rossi's

Guys guys guys...........everyone knows the only superhuman in motoGP is Melandri (spiderman) & Tamada (batman-can find a decent pic of that one).........

I wouldn't tell you to agree or disagree with anyone or anything....just don't crap on someone for trying their best to explain something that even Colin Edwards said...."What does he have?....I don't know"......superhuman simply means that he has extraordinary talent in my eyes..it doesn't mean he can take a bullet or walk on water......and if you think calling someone superhuman means they worship them....you have your head on backwards....

Wouldn't you say the following people are superhuman in a way:

Mother Teresa
Lance Armstrong
Michael Jordan
Albert Einstein

All for different reasons....

So you wanna know who is superhuman?

I'd tell you but there are millions of them. Yeah, they are those guys who get up at 6:00 am everyday to spend an hour squeezed in a train to get to an office they detest, to do a work that is crap, for whose salary they'll pay proportionally several times more taxes than their tax-evading employers, who are psicologically exhausted on Fridays and...

... who shout insanely at Elias' wild breaking!

Hi, truth of the matter is that Nicky Hayden just isn't made out of what it takes to be a (real) champion. Like you say both Repsol riders could have gone out a lap earlier if Dani had more fight in him and and countered Hayden's hard pass. Hard passing is not Pedrosa's style and that is one of the reasons why he needs more time in MotoGP. Dani Pedrosa and not Hayden is who will challenge Valentino in the future. What's this crap about Dani can atone for his mistake if we run one/ two in Spain. Aside of the unfounded assumption that Rossi (and a good few others, Capirossi, Elias, Roberts, Stoner to name just a few) will trickle around at 3rd or less to let Dani "atone" - does Nicky Hayden seriously believe that if he and Dani had the race to themselves thast Dani should make him a gift of the 1st place. Get real Nicky, or join Ferrari, be thankfull for the problems that have screwed up Rossi's season so far and take a lesson from the way he responded to Toni Elias after he apologized for the 1st corner crash in the opening race. Repsol Honda fields the best bike, enjoys the biggest R&D budget and will possibly have a future champion with Dani Pedrosa, but right now Valentino champions MotoGp on and off the track - in adversity as well as success.

Ok so now its okay to compare Rossi to people who fight through cancer, people who have laid the foundations for all science, people who have strived for world peace and compare them to mere athletes. I think you bloody well know that the 'Superhuman' wasn't just a compliment. I think your the one with your head on backwards. And when the Fak did I crap on someone? was my post offensive in any way? did I say " look at this ..... who thinks Rossi's superhuman, next they'll be calling him god" I think you took my post abit personal.

And by the way, did you notice how it was the persons first and only post?
The word 'troll comes to mind' and I betcha he or she wont post again
