Neil Hodgson

I saw an interview with max recently and he said that the suzuki superbike deal was done before 2006 racing actually started, but it was too late for him to get involved for that season so he had to wait.

i'd be willing to bet Max spent a lot of time on the Gixxer last year after he'd shaken hands with Batta.

Yes, not to mention training, getting his attitude sorted and riding supermoto bikes. Its not like he won those Qatar races fresh from his sofa.

too right

max was almost likeable in those interviews on Eurosport but he always is when everthing is going rosey - just wait til he's got a couple of problems and then it'll all go .... up.

stroppy prima-dona (but you've gotta love him)

Yes i agree its very entertaining to watch, although sometimes he does go a bit far. Similar actions can be found with Jorge Lorenzo, and thats even better because he is only young and hasn't got 4 world titles to back the attitude up with.

he's certainly a character and that's why i like him

because of the likes of Max/Bayliss/Corser being in the field this year I want JT to win even more because I think it will establish James with a hard fought title against a world class field and then I rekon he'll just step right onto Elias's Hanspree Moto GP bike

it's natural progression AFAIC

i can't wait for this kid to get into the big class. i like this kid & his brash attitude!

Yes, i mentioned JT going to gp in another thread in preseason. JT would definately impress if he wrapped up the title in the strongest competition since Edwards left. I think he can do it too, the gods are on his side, superbike crowns only seem to come in even numbers.

There is a rumor that Neil is working on a deal to ride a Yamaha this season in WSB. I will post more details as they are available.

This is a quick note teken from clubhodgson.com

POSTED - 21 February 2007

Rumours are rife in the World Superbike Championship paddock at Qatar with regard to Yamaha France approaching Neil Hodgson with a potential ride for 2007. As yet, the 2003 World Superbike Champion has not confirmed his racing plans for this season. However, it is believed that, subject to confirmation of a new sponsor, the manufacturer will approach British rider Hodgson after Phillip Island to complete the remainder of the season as their second rider.

^^Who knows what could happen!
