I think the reason Honda has kept the Minolta team on Michelins is because there is a baseline for every machine then. If they are all on one tire then the bike can be developed in a way that suits the tire. If they went back to having one Bridgestone shod bike they would have Tamada spending extensive amounts of time testing tires for Bridgestone instead of worrying about setting up the bike. Also, to put him on Bridgestones after a year on Michelins might just confuse the poor guy. I would love to see him back on the 'Stones but I just don't think it's going to happen. Not on a Honda anyways.
 
Makes sense Ooost. I know there's no possibility of seeing Tamada on the 'stones. I think the reason they put him back on the french stuff is as you say, so that all the Honda riders are on the same page. It could be a bit of the 'haga syndrome'. Maybe he just can't get on with the michelin rubber.
