My Prediction for this Season

With the season currently underway, it's always fascinating to make some predictions on the possible winner. Looking at the first races and the drivers' performances so far, my prediction for the winner this season is Martin. He demonstrated impressive consistency and aggressive driving, maintaining a strong position in the standings from the start.

MotoGP is notoriously unpredictable and we always expect surprises along the way. Riders like Bagnaia and Marquez are giving the favorite a run for his money, so we can never be sure what will happen on the next circuit.

I'm very excited for the season to continue and can't wait to see who emerges as the winner in the end. What are your predictions? Who do you think will walk away with the championship trophy?

I think its going to be Bagnaia, he has been very consistent of late. I can also see Marc finishing the year in 2nd, he has a couple of his favorite tracks coming up.
All I am willing to predict at this point is that the overall winner will be one of Pecco, MM, or Jorge (long shot now given his departure next year) !

This and the upgrades Ducati give him, which no doubt was part of the deal, will decide if Marc or Pecco win IMO.
The next 6 races include Assen, Sachsenring, Misano and Aragon. 4 of his strongest tracks. The other two are Silverstone and Austria, Silverstone is hit and miss although he has won there and the Red Bull Ring isn't what I would consider a weak track for him, rather that the layout has suited other bikes over the Honda.

I think JM is atm leading thanks to an element of luck. He managed to stay on the bike at Jerez, but I think that was just luck, you couldn't possibly see those wet patches there, and that's the bulk of his current points lead. MM is close to the lead after what has to be the worst part of the championship for him due to those tracks not being among his favourites (apart from COTA where he had technical issues) and of course he's the one on new team and bike of the title contenders... massive disadvantage, apart from the GP23 vs GP24 differences. I expect that MM will improve his results more than his opponents with his good tracks coming and more experience on the bike. He's now committed to Ducati so more likely to get any upgrades etc. So I'd bet on MM for the title, though if he wins it this year already he might as well retire... there wouldn't be much else to do in this sport... other than maybe keep switching manufacturers every season and try to win it with all of them or something...Interesting challenge? But that said it'll be difficult to win it this season, we'll see!

Also Bagnaia taking both himself and MM out at Portimao rather than be passed by MM.

I don't mind who wins, I see this as part of the race;
1. If Bagnaia wins then that's a 3rd championship in a row, time to look at surpassing Doohan
2. If Martin wins it will be his first championship and its the first championship of a satellite team in a long time, though Martin is contracted to Ducati so is a factory rider in a satellite team
3. If Marc Marcos wins then he is a satellite rider in a satellite team and more importantly he is one world championship closer to dethroning Ago as the most number of championships debunking GOAT debates
4. If Bastainini wins the world championship he has won his first world championship despite being dropped to the factory team
5. While highly unlikely if Acosta wins the world championship there are a whole host of firsts there but I won't bore with these as its unlikely

My prediction is Bagnaia but its a coin toss between Bagnaia, Martin and Marc Marquez

Purely from an outsider's view, I'd love to see Acosta coming through in the latter part of the season. Very unlikely, very fun if it was the case.

I'd also have a soft spot for Bastianini, being a non Academy rider, still another long shot that has little to no chance of winning.

Because you need to win races to win championship. Unless you have a global pandemic going round.

Marquez will win the champions if he manages to win one of the summer races. So before September comes around.

If he can't win a race before that time, I believe that either Pecco or Martin would have built a too big of a lead.

Martin is my favourite, if he has been able to go into championship mode. He is a hothead, Pecco is prone to mistakes. Pecco will continue to make mistakes, while Martin can perform on a higher level for longer if he can cool down when needed.

I guess we'll see who is in what mental state of mind come the Cathedral of speed

My prediction would be either Bagnaia or Marquez, unfortunately I think Jorge might face some additional hurdles now both on and off the track !

I still think that Martin will win this year. It is going to be close, but I feel that he may win out through consistency.
