My Opinion On Valencia '06

i'm not here to challenge anyone

i like this community and i like that it isnt all just bike talk as my technical knowledge lacks far greater than some on here.

Nothing agaisnt what you're posting, man. You've got really intresting opinions, and I mean that. But your posts do seem to indicate a lack of respect for people who you disagree with, and that's not what this place is about. There's nothing wrong with what your saying, it's just how you say it. A little bit of respect goes a long way.

hi racejumkie

I know why you like nicky, its an american thing, you all like to stick toghether, and thats ok.

but here is a little known fact.

when rossi was with honda and edwards was on the sp2, that year they both won their respective championships, honda entered them into the suzuka 8hr race as a team.

Now, they rode the sp2, the bike colin had developed over the past 2 to 3 years and rossi threw the leg over it and cleaned 2 sec. of colins best time, having barely rode the thing before.

so stick that in your pipe and smoke it

Hi _______ (insert you if it applies)

Not convinced it was respect you were looking for, rather perhaps something else, perhaps just simple agreement.. I think it’s just that I have called people on condescending comments, biases, and weak points, (many against Hayden), and it just hasn't played well here at this site. Which says a lot about those supposedly “offended.”

I have responded mostly to those that I thought said something “disrespectful” to me (for example, discrediting the new champ, condescending other champs, condescending me, for who is my favorite rider, etc, etc.) Yet, I have not seen the Calvary of those claiming to uphold the banner of civility and respect responding to those making such comments.

So it seems what I find “disrespectful”, is not your definition of “disrespect”. But if it’s really respect you're looking for, then I expect a plethora of chastisements owed to all those other people being condescending as well. (Even the Rossi Fans) (I’ll be looking for those responses).

But ok, let’s move on now. Can we do that? Perhaps the truth just stings too much when we are talking about our passions for our racers. How about this, if I disagree with you I will give you a big smile as I’m writing my response. Hugs and kisses to those who felt offended, but I’ll still be here to agree/disagree/debate/ and talk motorcycle racing.

Ok, I get your point now. In a way it was as you describe it.

But try to see the good points: Bayliss parading and Capi sweating blood to chase him, Hayden ready to challenge both should Rossi pull a last-minute miracle, Pedrosa playing with Melandri and Stoner like cat and mice, Elias 6th, Rossi seemingly racing against himself, there were plenty of things to watch, man.

You wanna replace that union Jack with a swastika or somthing?

Racejumke might not be the freindliest guy, but at least he's coming up with good arguments, as opposed to this constant, racist drawl against Americans.

I'm so glad this is a constructive debate... ...., if we can't bash his riding style or mentality anymore let's take a shot at his nationality.

Anyone who has the balls to race round a track on two wheels at god knows what speed has my utmost respect. Whether I like them or not as people is a different matter, however, their individual unique contributions make the races worth watching and where would this site be without them or their respective fans? Hayden won the championship, he deserved it and I am pleased for him! I think Rossi squeezed everything he could out of that Yamaha this year and bascially the Yam simply wasn't good enough! Next year the slate is wiped clean and will probably sort the men from the boys! Should be very very interesting! Here's hoping anyway
