Hi all. I am staying in Scarperia for the GP next weekend and wondered if any one has been there and could advise on where fans gather after a day at the track also good places to eat and drink. Thanks

The main place of partying/gathering are the surroundings of the track itself. Most people are camping there and the whole place is like a huge festival from the late afternoon til the early morning, especially on Saturday night.
It is a "messy" experience but the atmosphere is unique, and I'd suggest you to try it out.
As per eating, Tuscany is probably the best place in the world for that so my personal suggestion is to do it in one of the small villages around Mugello. You will constantly end up meeting motoGP fans everywhere you go, wether you like it or not
Make sure you eat "Fiorentina" (Tuscanian steak, not to be confused with the football team) at least once. That's also a unique experience.

Its lovely, well when I used to eat steak, here is the recipe I used to use;
Tuscan style grilled rib eye steak.
Marinate in fresh rosemary, garlic, balsamic vinegar and olive oil overnight, you can then cook like an ordinary steak, ie fry or griddle.

Most from my experience leave Sunday, but whenever I've gone its been Monday, as there's less traffic and there's always a few around who have a quieter party going at most circuits.
I am not sure if I missed the thread, if it went under your radar or if you simply made selective information picking but 2 things
1) its all over the media’s in Spain that Márquez is called a traitor as he has officially blocked the access to HRC for Lorenzo, justification is that 2 strong leaders in the same Team is not good for the bike developments
