Broc Parkes will make a return to the MotoGP World Championship for the 2015 finale in Valencia as the latest replacement for the injured Alex de Angelis at IodaRacing.
The experienced Australian competed in his first season of MotoGP racing last year with the Paul Bird Motorsport team before a move to British Superbikes in 2015 was curtailed after a run of disappointing results.
Having focused on endurance competition for the second-half of the 2015 season, Parkes will get back to frontline international competition with a ride on the ART-prepared by IodaRacing in Spain.
He will be the second rider to stand in for de Angelis, who suffered a series of injuries in a crash during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, after Parkes' countryman Damian Cudlin rode the bike in Australia and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Ioda has confirmed de Angelis will make an appearance in Valencia, his first public appearance since the Motegi accident, which left him in hospital for 19 days.
