Motegi Practice and Qualifying

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Babelfish @ Sep 22 2006, 11:34 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>And he is but no by that much. As far as I can see he is the only one down in '47 lap on race tires. But Rossi is not far behind with a string of mid-low 48's compared to Capirossi's even longer string of low 48's. His fastest laps was on a 3 lap stint on a fresh pair of tires, probably with minimum gas on the tank.
Capirossi can be extreemly fast but has a habit of unconsistency. Right now he might be just a fraction faster than Rossi, but that might change.
Even now I wouldn't bet on Capi. Race, traffic, tire wear...

My predictions:

- Rossi
- Capirossi
- Melandri

Pedrosa seems to strugle with his injury :-(
agreed but i think shinya my be there some where

Capirossi has predicted a pace of 1:48 during the race.

Hum, if Pedrosa doesn't pull one of his charges across the field early in the race, it may well be a one-two Capirossi-Rossi, with or without Nakano involved.

I'm seriously thinking of missing this race on purpose tomorrow

it's way to early (I'm working the whole night tonight) and with that typhoon comming to japan, I predict rain and lot's of drama... + dani ending up on the last spot of the grid again

good for capi that he has pole again, I agree with katt, if capi has a good start he could easily win this GP

I never watch it live except the Laguna race. The timezones are killer for me in the USA. I always just watch them on motogp.com. They have no commercials and I can catch the commentary before and after the race.

The Typhoon swerved north, Mari. but if it had come they might have cancelled the race, apparently it was as big as Katrina
