Stoner was still recovering, so for the first time ever we have one of the 'other Ducatis' faster than him (Kallio).
Hayden did not confirm the recent improvements...

Dovi declared he liked the new frame very much--it shows

Grazie. Se siete curiosi, questa è stata ampiamente discussa in altri thread.

I'm glad you started a thread for the test. There are 3 threads talking about 10 different things

Do they post multiple lap times somewhere?

Hayden

Good to see Stoner out there battleing.

Valentino put in a showing.

Lorenzo releasing some anger

Kallio set an amazing lap time, talk about a surprise right there. I think that he will do very well in MGP.

Stoner got an IV of fluids overnight and went out and battled. Does he have Swine Flu or what?

Good to see Dovi up there'

Pedrosa - will you ever test? Going to be interesting to see if he makes it to Assen. he left it up in the air.

Sacky, just wondering if you have a source for this?

Reason for asking is that it may settle a few arguments in some places

Has anyone seen any reports indicating what tires Dovi was on during his fast lap.

If those were race tires that was a blinding lap. I'm assuming everything is about .3 faster in the cooler temperatures. If Andrea was running soft tires, his lap wasn't that phenomenal.

dovi was using the modified frame that was denied to him on raceday an shoved a second off his fastest race lap ,so it makes me wonder what if he have had the frame on sunday?

we could have witnessed a 1-2 and 3-4 battle...

Some more info on the Montmelo tests from gpone.com:

"In spite of the fact that the Yamaha team and Valentino Rossi appeared on the track only in the afternoon, these were important tests. In particular, Yamaha tested the new long-life engine that will have to be used from Brno on, (when a maximum of 5 engines will be allowed for the remaining 7 GPs). Teams that will have to use more than 5 engines will receive a points penalty, which in such a close chanpionship could become decisive.

Yamaha also tested new engine mappings to further smoothen the power delivery, and new Bridgestone tyres. At the end Rossi said, "Now let me rest."

There is info on these tests also on Kropotkin's site.

Not a good test for Nicky. Its not looking good. He was looking forward to this test and it has resulted in a nightmare. Its gonna be a long season, and it already feels like an eternity.

Go Nicky!

Yeah That Ducati seems like a ..... of a bike. even the production ones seem like they must be hard to ride. after a day at the track i realized this after a day at the local track. im not fast on my R6 and im sure i would be a lot slower on the ducati. Jumkie you have both, would you be faster on your ducati at the track or is the GSXR more comftrable?

their production bike is NOTHING like their motogp bike, so it is impossible to compare. one is a twin, the other an inline - respectively.

i think i remember bayliss making the comment "it says ducati on the side of the tank, but it's nothing like the one i rode in WSBK".

ducati don't make inlines.... it's an L4.

Gsxr.

(But that may be because I couldn't bare or afford to crash on the Duc.)

I wasnt comparing the production Duc to the GP9 Just pointing out how different the production Duc is to a production japanese bike. and how it can be hard even for a common rider to adjust to a duc after being used to riding a Japanese bike like a Yamaha

1: But he put in a lot of laps, but good committment.

2: I heard is HPD is now eating away at his digestive system, therefore he had to be fed gruel through a drip.

I try my best.

It was this bit in the article that caught my eye:

Excessive sensitivity to criticism or disapproval.

Donnington anyone?
