so just to see you's guys opinions hehe, michelin or bridgestone tyres? lots of issues have arised, not just this year, but exactly a year ago, at shanghai, where rossi's front tyre suffered a huge hole! and turkey's "misterious lack of rear grip"? or did rossi overdo it in the beggining? Bridgestone seem to be doing well with ducati and other teams, i believe the riders dont tend to complain about tyre problems. My stand? michelin might have to try a bit harder..but hey, who am i to say this? lol peace out!

Bridgestone have made a tyre which doesn't seem to drop off over race distance, Casey put the fastest lap of the race on the last lap in Qatar, Elias and Stoner were the fastest mid race and towards the end in Jerez. Turkey speaks for itself. If Bridgestone win Sunday thats 3-1, Michelin will be pissed.

What happens at the end of the season if Bridgestone win more races and heaven forbid the championship!!!

Rossi on Stones for 08!!!

Whats more important is that Bridgestones don't require 2 laps to get heat in their tires.... That's where they got Michelin by the nuts

If i was rossi i would defently want bridgestone, they seem more consistant. it seems michilen have a few problems that need to be delt with.

Michelin are still the best, what you are seeing is 3 of the last 4 races have been outside Europe where Bridgestone have more data and work better.

Hello? Michelin has been racing on these tracks for ages and Bridgestone strated MotoGP only in 2002 (or 2003), so just how does Bridgestone have more data? The only mweakness the stones have is that their qualifying tires are not as good as the muichelin. Which mean their riders finish lower while qualifying and then kick a$$ once the race starts. I bet we'll see a lot of riders switch to stones at the end of this season. And I predict Michelin will be out of MotoGP (like they have in F1) in a year or two. http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/formulaone/27956/

I wonder just how loyal to the Michelin Rossi is, or will we see him on Stones next season, that'd be interesting.

This changes all the time. In the beginning of last year the stones had the q-advantage, now it looks like the roles have been switched, but then again, michelin got Rossis tire right this time and I'm not willing to accept that they were worse than stoners. They held up all the way, and he was faster on allmost anything but straight line accelereation.
At this track I think it was an even match.

The Michelins will be looking much worse then they actually are because they are mainly fitted to bikes that say "Honda" or "Edwards" on them, which is .... right now.

babel, i think you provide a fair assessment. But, if one considers the speed at which the stones are progressing, I think they will supercede the Michelins in performance soon.

One does not become the most dominant championship winning tire supplier by being "behind the curve".

Expect the trend to come back Michelin's way once we see the European tracks.

Dunlops all the way.

Yeah! If only Capirossi had Michelins like both the guys who beat him.

I know, i was taking the piss because i would have said that Rossi lost the championship when he fell off at Valencia.
