Mexico next year?

Do yourself a favor and never watch it. The image is seared into my memory, and it's horrible.

Absolutely, I had a dinner engagement and didn’t watch the race live, and have studiously avoided footage since for exactly the reason you say, although for reasons inexplicable to me I still needed to actively avoid seeing it on various forums for a time.

I avoided seeing the footage of William Dunlops accident until I clicked on a "Tribute to William Dunlop" video on YT thinking "It's a tribute, it'll be all the good bits from his career" but no it opens with what I can only describe as the worst accident I've ever seen and is still in my ....... head now whenever I think of the lad I see the accident. In the same way when I think of Simo and Dan Wheldons names I still see the image of their accidents though I was watching both of those races live and couldn't avoid seeing it but that Dunlop one took me by complete surprise and apparently the .... circulating that footage has been outed as a Garda officer.

it has been confirmed that both Mexico and Finland (which was also rumored to have a round already next year) will NOT be hosting a motoGP race in 2019, but for both countries the project of doing so remains for a more far away future.

well to bad, I would have liked to have seen another race in North America

no worries, it's still their goal. They wanna do an American 3-in-a-row thing similar to the one they have at the end of the season with Japan-Australia-Malaysia. So I'm guessing their plan is Argentina-Austin-Mexico

Would love to see it at another circuit though. That Mexican circuit looks like it will be boring as .....

I agree.

They should bring back Brazil, that was an awesome one. I believe they last raced there in 04

Rossi brought up the safety issue of the track which is definitely a valid concern. However he then whinged that with 20 races they won't have much time off to do much else. I'm sorry (and this goes for any rider that complains about that) you earn millions of dollars to ride a motorbike for 3 days every second week during the season. Then you get more holidays than most people have who work a normal job. What the .... are you complaining about? That it's not a hobby but a full time job that you get paid obscene amounts to do?

This just really rubbed me the wrong way, their schedule is not that bad compared to other sports and the wear and tare on their bodies is nowhere near as bad either. These ..... need a reality check if they're complaining about not having a life outside of racing.

NFL is more ridiculous,
16 x 1 hour game season.
Shitload of money for 16 hours work, which you probably only play half since you're on offence or defence.

Except you are liable to end up with CTE, and even regardless of that the average career is quite short.

I saw an article about NFL careers a few years back, not even 5 years on average. NHL is similar, brutal sports.

Also regarding the "3 days work" that's what we see, we don't see all the ........ that comes with it away from the track.
