We need something to fight Stoner.

Yeah, get faster mothafuker; and get in line.

(Oh, and for those tempted to say Yamaha has digressed without the Boy-wonder Developer, take a good look at the current bike he's now had half a year to develop, not to mention the endless budget, teammate test in real time, and the ear of Carmelo.)

I feel Yamaha and Ducati should do a deal....

Jorge gets a Duke engine in exchange of Rossi getting a Yamaha frame....

Oh, and about the teammate tester....he at least hasn't been relegated to a 2nd or 3rd string Ducati team.....so be grateful....

Rossi was asked the same question as to the yam getting worst since he left and he said the Honda is just a better bike right now. The Honda is the best package on the grid right now. I'm just hopeful that yam is going to try to give the I4 some more life or gamble later in the season if things are looking bad, and does anyone know if they're going with an I4 or V4 next year.

As expected money is the big issue for going to a V4 instead of a evolution of the IL4.

Combined with a sponsorless year in the most expecive racing class, a mayor earthquake in japan and more expensive bikes in Europe (don't know about the States) all factors who don't contributed to profit.

On the other hand the new tendency to go to seemless shifting ( Ducati is thinking about it) would need a radical new design of the engine even if it would stay a IL4.

So it's difficult to say...

Personnally I think a V4 is the way to go, less drag and more power.

If Pedro had been in the race and Sic had not been somehow (I hope momentarily) neutralized, Lorenzo and Spies may have been out of the podium also at Catalunya. Lorenzo is actually doing very well on the Yamaha against the Honda (now the best bike) and Stoner (the fastest rider). He's racing faster than last year, but this year it's not enough.

This is what Ben SPies said prior to Cataluynya race:

"It's really hard when you look at the Honda's and how well they are performing. I mean Lorenzo is the World Champion and when he gets onto the rostrum, it's like a win for him and he's physically drained. It's hard when you know you can at best really only fight for rostrums".

Your sickness is getting worst by the day, can you have one post without mentioning Rossi somehow? You are really obsessed.

Try riding a Ducati for 4 years

Really! after awhile, it will give you stomach problems.

And only a year or so to kill your soul. Melandri, Killio(not sure he had one), Hayden, Stoner even. I am sure I left some out. But the .... job its doing to RDP takes the cake.

Benjie's "racing for the podium - not #1" comment says the world - after screwing up after Hayden's 2006 season - Honda have finally got it right again - in a big way. Lollo's riding harder now than ever and can't catch Stoner. If somebody blows some pepper up Dovi's arse and Simo can get some consistency - it'd be a Honda 1-2-3-4..

Oh and btw - compared with Honda and Yam that Italian company does not have an endless budget - and if you look at practice times the teammate has a lot more than tester status

If Stoner jumped on Lorenzo's bike, he'd spank him too. The idea that Lorenzo or Spies are saying that its the Honda they can't compete with is complete ......... Neither of them could beat Stoner given the same bike. Period.

Ducati have an endless budget and Rossi has their undivided attention. A situation that is unique in MotoGP, that is, nobody else has that dynamic. Period. (You, and typified by J4rno & friends cannot accept this because it speaks to Rossi's talent and is still only top 5. This from the supposed "GOAT").

I wonder how much the recent disaster in japan is effecting each manufacturer and team. Are some more effected than others?

Lorenzo is right.....Stoner has the talent, Lorenzo does too. Casey has the guts to do it, Lorenzo has already proven he can do it. Stoner has the bike, Lorenzo not quite....that is the only thing missing.

A small advantage for the Spanish would be Jorje's consistency and Case'y inconsistency...but we'll see.

Early days yet, but since Casey moved to Honda and shed that demon of a bike, what inconsistency would you be referring to?

Anyone remember 'Christine?' Forget all this crouching at the footpeg and standing up out of pitlane to adjust his leathers nonsense, the only ritual Valentino needs top perform is through a Priest a handily deployed crucifix and copious amounts of Tavullian Holy water. Christ only knows what Ducati have summoned over the years but even the miracles of JB and crew are struggling to banish the inherent set up woes cursing that evil red machine. Full on exorcism is the only solution.

Stoner rode with the devil.
