Ok the context I see.

I can see no such thing as you say in the shot or vid.

I can see a Hayden fan who still hates Pedrosa for something that happenned 2 years ago, wanting to believe everybody hates Pedrosa, and hence cashing in on any opportunity to incite such hate .... even if the vid. and photo eveidence are additive constructs in his/her own mind.

From that small corridor very little of the crowd is visible .... Lorenzo being the consumate "crowd whore" seemed to merely be excersizing activities pertaining to the satisfaction of his "crowd whoredom" desires. Lollipop included.

There's your context.

I downloaded a matroska vid of the Eurosport coverage (seems much better than the hi-def feed) and it's obvious he doesn't have his finger up.

It's just the light reflecting off of his cheekbone.

Weak. I thought he was a showman, that was a pathetic display of nothingness. I guess Lorenzo has forgotten how to walk onto the podium in second place. Oh well.

I didn't see the incident but it was very clear to me that some of you have been portraying this as absolute fact.
It sounds to me like it was open to interpretation and should have been posted as such, from the beginning not 3 pages into the post.

It seems as the journalistic standards here are on par with the rest of the national media.

No way!! Most journos would get 1 page maybe 2 out of it, we got 3 and were still going strong!!

I have a new theory, in the name of maintaining this thread:


I put forward the notion that Lorenzo did have his finger extended however in the tangle and rush to get that lollipop in there the finger is actually in his mouth and thats why it looks like his Cheek muscle!!
