Lorenzo upset

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mylexicon @ Mar 18 2008, 07:40 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Yes.

Pedrosa came third so they announce him first to the podium. Lorenzo came second so he was standing directly behind Pedrosa, sucking on his lollipop. When they announced Pedrosa Lorenzo shushed the crowd.

It was nice.
Lex, how did you manage to get the actual close-up pic of Lorenzo shushing the crowd?

nyahaha, you are a very very bad man

I think Lorenzo can be quite naive with the press, but i think he will learn as he matures like all the other riders have. I think its a real shame that Yamaha are so affraid of upsetting Rossi they are already restricting Jorge, maybe that can change if Vale is not their number 1 contender (maybe next year).

I think the reference was in telling Lorenzo to keep his celebration to a minimum and not start any .... with Rossi. (Not restricting him on equipment but rather on relations with his factory-factory "teammate").

See quote below:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (povol @ Mar 17 2008, 11:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>War Of Words, Episode I: Lorenzo vs Pedrosa
When Jorge Lorenzo entered MotoGP, sparks were sure to fly. Lorenzo is both outspoken and flamboyant, and has never been at a loss for words. He has also never been afraid of confrontation, having spent virtually his entire career engaged in sniping at various targets in the paddock. Such was his reputation, indeed, that as part of his contract, Yamaha banned the "Lorenzoland" celebrations, and forced Lorenzo to work with a psychologist to keep his impetuosity in check.

Is there rules in MOTOGP about physically attacking another rider? I would like to see Lorenzo gleek on Pedrosa while in a press conference, that would be funny. What would have happened to Hayden had he smacked Pedrosa in 06' after he ran into him?

Don't know, but I would have paid money to see it.

See quote below:Woah I missed that, that's erm...very interesting. I'll be interested to see if/when he wins, if it's true.

Hayden would have been the new Biaggi ... as it was he had more sense, and a huge amount of composure .... possibly part of why he had the mentality to win a WC in 06 ..... I'm sure Hayden had had a "few" races by then ...... and had had simillar occurences in the past. He was out there to win a WC that was pretty obvious
<

And beside ....... if you had asked Pedrosa at the time "what do you want ..... a black eye ..... or to watch me win the WC" ....... he would have chosen the black eye .....
<
<

Edit: Not saying Pedrosa hates Hayden?? ..... its just he's the type of guy who is there to win and anything else may have been a loss .....

Winning a WC is pretty good "come-up-ance"

well, i think this thread is the best proof why he is good for MotoGP off track too.
he bring some new gossip and stuff to talk about.

like him or not, he has personality, and riders with personality are never bad for MotoGP.
and a Lorenzo/Pedrosa rivalry could add some new excitement to MotoGP, on and off Track.

Since when does adjusting a lollipop require an extended index finger to be placed over your mouth
<

Pinky, it's as clear as day. What are you watching?

He's standing behind another guy, just as they announce Pedrosa he QUICKLY steps sideways so the camera and the crowd can see him. He had his index finger positioned vertically over his mouth. Sure, he was adjusting his lollipop for the camera
<

Get with it, Pinky
