even if you thought you saw a finger, he needs serious orthopaedic help .... try holding your hand at that pose and raising a finger at that angle.

Its just the light on the skin stretched over his levator labii superioris muscle, which when one opens ones mouth big enough for a chuppa chup is extended. Also if you zoom that bit of the picture, and then sharpen the image, there is quite a marked difference in the skin colour of his fingers and that face skin.

I think folk are just hoping for some controversy out of it.

Also on another note ..... there would have been little reason to hush anything as the anouncememnt of Pedrosa's name was fairly audible ..... saw it again today ..... it was much more difficult to hear Lorenzos and Stoners names announces as folk has started to chear when the riders came out.

I hate to disappoint, but he's adjusting his Chuppa Chup. I just went & re-ran it a couple of times on the motogp.com. Shame though.

I can see how people could just think he's adjusting his lollipop but you need to pay attention to the context.

He's standing behind an old fat man, as soon as they announce the podium Pedrosa looks to the Steward for the signal to walk out. Lorenzo steps out from behind the old man with his index finger over his mouth. He is then scolded by the official for letting Pedrosa walk out by himself, then Lorenzo makes his own grand entrance with Casey in tow.

There are too many other circumstances that make it obvious that he was making a statement. Moving out from behind the old man, lagging onto the podium, and lets not forget, putting his index finger vertically over his mouth.

It's obvious he was trying to tell the crowd not to cheer at all for Pedrosa, then to cheer loudly when he made his grand entrance. Don't let the fact that he moved his hand from his mouth throw you--he probably slobbered all over himself.
