I see Kesh liked your post, thing is it also applies to Kesh himself. He and a few jumped all over my exchanges with Krop (nothing of course was made of Krop's own juicy swipes & digs). You see (and I assume i don’t have to convince you as I'm simply using your point) it's difficult to take Kesh's nanny attempts seriously given his own double standard. He can dish it gratuitous but chastise others when the 'wrong' guys do it.
If JohnnyKnockdown had used the racial slur "Mexican Monkey" all hell would have broke lose, with a long line of members trying to one up each other's chastise. We see it in the real world all the time. Super Mantitties was the only one to call Kesh on it. And I assume he did so (he can correct me if I'm wrong) to point out the double standard employed particularly by the 'nanny brigade'. (Lets shelve the fact it was a bona-fided slur, but as you probably know not all slurs carry the same support to chastise, work that logic out! What if he had said "redskin" as opposed to "sand ......" or maybe "Jew down the cost"? Notice one seems benign while the other two with varying degrees, I won't even mention "......", which actually might be a banned word, like say that 'other forum'.)
My advice to Kesh would be butt out of .... that doesn't pertain to you otherwise don't be surprised when the backlash comes in the form of pointing out the double standard.
And for the record, I don't think either Kesh nor JKD are 'racists', I've met both and they are progressive good folks who would agree with each other about the ways of the world. I'm probably more 'racist' than both of them combined given my intolerance of ........ explanations of 'races', particularly Kropo's spin when it comes to Murky.
Personally, I don't think any racial slurs should be banned from use. And the McCarthyism that inevitably ensues is I think more hateful not to mention disengenuine.
