looks like its gonna be a suzuki

IMO Suzuki is wasting their time with Capirossi. They should go with someone young with raw talent and speed to burn.

They already have an up-and-coming rider in CV, they need someone experienced, proven and established. They just better hope loris find his form.

Agree with you!

A one year deal with Suzuki ... I hope for his sake it doesn't turn out to be the equivalent to the Bayliss Pons year (his saving grace might be the fact he is on a factory bike ... if he does in fact sign with Suzuki)!

i firmly believe loris is a great rider, i dont think he has taken to well to the 800 yet, i also think maybe he is gettin bad vibes from ducati and its effecting his performance on the track, he done well last season you should'nt rite him off after just a few races?

people seem to pass judgement to rapidly, give the man a chance.

saying teams are wasting there time with loris is nonsense, should we say honda are wasting there time with n.hayden also cos he hasnt been performing well on the 800 after a few races?

loris needs a new team and machine that he's confident with, then maybe his performance on the track will be better.

just my thought's

Capirex is 34! He doesn't need any more "chances"!

Nicky Hayden is the current MotoGP champion and is 26 years old .... BIG difference

that doesnt make sense, so what if hes 34 thats no big difference, so he cant race because you say he is to old, so what if hes 8 years older than nicky its not like there are racing a 100 metre sprint.....
and as for the world champion part who's to say that will happen again???, loris is 8th nicky is 10th so there goes what you say out the window.

yeah this too old .... is rediculous... old is simply a state of mind! i'm 48 & i ain't old!!!

Old is definitely a state of mind, but Loris has been in the paddock since 1990 (or something around then), so in that respect he is old.

as long as the fire still burns!

and here lies the question mark. The fire is still evidently strong in an underperforming rider like Nicky, but despite what Loris says he doesn't seem to have the edge to him he used to. We (and suzuki) have to hope that the change of scenary will motivate him once more, but i wont believe it till i see it.

c'mon loris show these non believers!!!

I would love to be proved wrong, but i have lost faith. As long as he and at least one competative team have faith though, he has no reason to stop.

My point was that he has had plenty more years in the top class on decent bikes to win a championship ... and he hasn't!

Nicky has a championship and is much younger!

Will it happen again ... who knows! If it was a two horse race on who might win another championship then I know where I would be putting all my money!

As far as developing the bike goes, Suzuki are NOT wasting their time with Loris. They've had relative amateurs developing this 800 so far. A proven race winner with years and years of experience backing him up can only help them.

The way I see it going is that Capi develops the bike to the point where it is right up there with the top runners, but he himself doesn't get to taste much of the victory. I think we'll see CV and Suzuki benefit the most from this partnership.

Personally If I was running Suzuki I would entrust development to CV. I think he is more than capable. With Hopper gone I think he could develop the bike to suit his style ... I think that is what Suzuki are going to do anyway. The 08 bike won't be built for Capirex!

'ThePhorest'...I do agree with your analysis...BUT Mr. 'ThePhorest'...Tell me HOW LONG IS A PIECE OF STRING???...How long did it take Mr. CapiXXXX to WIN A GP with the Ducati???...and I hope you don’t want to analyse and include his past record with the Ducati????....bum bum bum...or bum...bum..whichever way you want to take IT!!!???

Loris won his 6th race on the Brand new Ducati in 2003. I think thats very impressive considering the team had no previous Grand Prix experience, the bike was in early stages of its development and was nowhere near the complete and sorted machine ducatis are now.

Go Kev, the guy's got three world titles! loris will do as well as anyone else on the suk. It may suit him better than the current ducati, from what I've read anyway it's not as aggressive in power delivery as the current duc, and thats what he cited as his main reason for not going so well this year, and the reason why ducati built him a bespoke engine.
