most definately.he leaves a giant gap to be filled and i really hope rossi gets his act together/marquez rides somewhat clean so that we get a good 2013 to distract us from missing the most glorious slides ever seen in motorcycle racing.



have to say though i'm glad that with the austr-alien leaving there will be no more talk of "aliens" in gp.

always hated that term and i was happy he debunked it the last 2 years.



btw, has anybody ever asked casey if he would do PI wildcards(don't care whether gp or wsbk)?that'd be super cool
 
Disappointed to see him go, but I don't think he achieved 'legend' status... unless it was for shitting off the best job in the world.
 
I got all emotional I bought a signed Casey one of 200 framed wall thing today. Picture it is. (thanks brain)
 
I know Stoner has been the fastest most talented, least quitting on a Duc. most rapidly prolific rider in the history of GP but has anybody else has a corner named after then whilst still racing?
 
If Rossi said in June 2013 he was leaving at the end of the year I expect 3 or 4 tracks would name a corner after him before he retired.....

Yes but Rossi has never been the most talented rider in GP history ........ so it would more likely not happen.

Barry can I just say as a fellow Scot, what a pleasure it has been to engage in witty banter with you on here. I'm sure now that your reason to believe has quit, you will return to making fine musical instruments and frequent the pages of powerslide no more, taking with you your zany sense of humour, (some folk on here think your posts are for real, but we both know it's all a bit of fun.) so in case you go off fishing without telling us, can I just say Thanks Barry, and all the best
 
Having a corner named after you in a country that isn't your own is the real test. Any fucketer can get a named corner in their own country.
