I'm taking my Ducati driving boyfriend to Le Mans as his birthday present... OK, so we're camping but who cares...

This is going to be my first experience of any moto gp event, in fact any bike event... unless you count walking into a bike shop and asking for some oil stuff (had to pass the mobile to the shop owner as I didn't know what I was asking for...)

Anyhow, as I don't do things by half, I have decided to drive to Le Mans on Friday 16th (I think) taking the Dark Blue Boxter on the 'Chunnel' and driving the 4 hours to the camp site....

What I really need to know is, are there things I should take to help our 3 day experience (beer has taken up the boot along with the tent) For example, do I need to buy a bike jacket just to fit in, or a St George's cross to wrap around my shoulders, do I need to make a pennent for my tent, what things should I avoid (French not included)... Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

So, if you see a couple in a Boxter 05 plate looking lost, fed up or even broken down at the side of the road, please help by sticking your two fingers up at us whilst you reach Le Mans 2 hours before we do.....

See ya there Dolly & Ducati Dave x

Sunscreen! And yeah the beer's alright but make sure you drink loads of non-alcoholic stuff. I got sunstroke in Valencia in November and had to miss day2 of the whole thing!!!! Ridiculous considering I live in a country just as sunny as spain. It's just that I don't normally spend days out of doors. Also a jacket with a hood in case it rains. I know it's not sexy but beats holding up an umbrella (unless you actually get to be an umbrella ....) or getting soaked. Oh, and if you want to be a great girlfriend, a good camera to take loads of photos of your man posing with the ..... on the stands. The rizla outlet is normally worth a visit!

All his friends will think you're the awesomest gf in the world if you send him along to pose and take a pic for posterity.
Enjoy!!!

you bloke is a lucky man !

i had a bit of trouble in 06 at valencia . i didnt drink enough water and dehydrated in the car queuing up in traffic trying to get out. living in the uk i had no idea what 90 heat would do to me.

I dehydrated at Brands hatch and missed pratically everything, but at the time I was pretty young and there were some riders in the hospital and I got some pictures... Result!

But yeah take water.
