Le Mans Race

we must remember that the only way rossi will come good, and i know he is tallented, but if the team, bike are not working for him,he could have all the tallent in the world, but the bike and rider go hand in hand, and if one is not working then you can forget it ?

Nice to see lots of new posters here. First of all, Stoner and Pedrosa are so close at the moment that it is very hard to say one is clearly better than the other. Secondly, yes, Rossi is having some bad luck, but no, he is not invincible. The new chassis was a big step forward from Yamaha and Rossi had everyone's number in Le Mans even on a hard rear. But to say when the bike is set up halfway decently he is by far the fastest man on the planet is an overstatement. The likes of Melandri, Capirossi, Pedrosa and Hayden have shown Rossi is not as untouchable as everyone thought. He will not win a single race this season by a huge margin. There are too many challengers that can potentially be on their game at each round.

Super Race. I felt sorry for Rossi even though i'm not it's fan, but that makes the season even more exciting becouse the race heats up, more riders involved. I'm sure though Rossi will turn things around and make a comeback soon maybe at Mugello or Barcelona.
I loved to see Dani up there, but he picked wrong tyers - soft slick both- so he was unable to resist in the end of the race and he was overtake by Marco and Loris.
I have to admit I was pesimist about Capirossi chances of being up there after he said in the official statement from Ducati: "We cannot win tomorrow, but our tyres are better than the ones we had in China" but he had some luck - Hopper and Rossi crashed- but he fought well to overtake Dani in last lap.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (teomolca @ May 21 2006, 02:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Jerez 2005 after the collision between Rossi and Sete, Sete was injured in his arm, just before the podium ceremony the cameras showed Sete holding his arm in pain while Rossi looked upon him laughing.

Rossi apologized a couple of weeks later, he said that he didn't know Sete was injured and thought Sete was faking the pain.

Still a very questionable behaviour in my opinion.
i remember that. to be honest i thought sete was kinda....... well... being a little dramatic. i thought he was kinda fakin it a little too

the jurys out on that one for me,but sete does himself no favour's kissing crossed fingers, and many other noncy habits he has, thats why people tend to doubt any injury problems he picks up ?

I think its interesting that no one seems to ever mention Nicky, sure he didn't get the podium this last round, but I imagined him heading there anyway, only to be asked where he was going, and reply in a sincere blush, because he had just become so used to second every race, out of habit ,ya know/
Anyway he still leads the championship and I would not rule him out of some wins. Its still early in the season.

It is so WRONG what happen' to Vale !!!!
I think, in this race, Rossi showed the world that he is still #1 !!! everybody expected a fight between Rossi and Pedrosa and instead they saw Rossi crushes Pedrosa easly !!! He pass other riders like they were standing !!!! I know Dani had soft tires but this is his falt....lack of experiance I guess...
Now, a lot of people think Dani's achivements are better then Rossi's...well they are forgetting that Rossi rode the NSR500, a 2 stroke machine and it is very hard riding them, among other things, due to a very nero power band !!! Dani is riding the best bike in the world in his first year !!! the bike Rossi developed...(ironic isn't it ?!)
You also must remember that Rossi has a ...... bike this year and only in France he got the new frame and i believe you all saw what he can do with it...the problem he had in the last race will not happen again !!! you can trust Jermey (his mechanic) to take care of it, so from this point on, you all Sete's fans and Dani's fans can seat back, relax, and watch Rossi kick ... !!!!!!!

im probably going to get hung for saying this ....

i think rossi's suffering this year has been good for the sport ... what, we are only 4 round in? and already the competition has heated up... so many riders have come into their prime right now ... Hayden, Melandri, the rookies and now even Hopkins is starting to warm up ...
After years of rossi dominance in a class where he was far superior .. the spotlight is being spread onto a range of other riders ... its great.
i almost gave up on motogp last year... but im glad i didnt because the excitement is now tenfold what it was. I even got my dad back to watching MGP ... which is a feat in itself considering he gave up watching it when they introduced the 990cc bikes.... YEARS ago..
rossi is a very talented rider, and the Yamaha hasn't really complimented that this year ... i have no doubt that he will be in the running for the title toward the end of the season ... but no one can deny that the races have become less predictable and more exciting...

I think you have to go back three years before you find a race where Rossi were winning with a large margin, on a Honda. A few times he has been controlling the lead with a smaller margin but most of the time he had to fight for it ever sice he came to Yamaha.
I have a hard time to see that anything has really changed regarding Rossi. He is just as determined, just as fast, just as "dominating" as long as his bike are working but he never were untouchable.

He has had more than his share of bad luck, on the other hand he has been blessed with a near troublefree bike for many years now, except one rear tire that went bad in Brno 3? years ago.
If anything has changed it is probably that people now see that he also has his share og bad luck, it just happend to come in a lot in a short period.
Gibs on the other hand has a spell over him. Nothing can explain that :)

I was just starting to get sick of all the Valentinibopperism too. As soon as I get Pedrosa in my team I aint gonna give two ..... about Rossi and just enjoy this time of turmoil and close races while it lasts, before the next Rossi (Pedrosa in my opinion) wins everything and takes that little bit of magic away.
