I am thoroughly impressed with Lorenzo, that showed some guts. With the absence of the dog and pony show celebrations [so far] and what appears to be a years worth of maturity, i could see myself becoming a fan. I have never denied the talent, now he is starting to win me over as a tough guy. Tomorrow will be a different day for Lorenzo as the injuries set in overnight. If he somehow wins after taking such a hard fall, it will be even more impressive. That was a huge hit to his hip, he will be feeling that one for a while.

Lorenzo for this one, so some of us Stoner fans will not be coping with another loss points and a WC that is so tight.

Even with the crash Lorenzois looking the goods.

Casey's race pace sucks right now. He had a huge .... face right off the bike.

Hoping for some magic tomorrow morning, but the track temps are toying with him. He can improve with low temp and then blam!!! mid-day ...... pace again.

Corssed fingers and jumpy heart.

RDP is gonna try and race with two broken vertebrae, crazy, I hope they don't let him.

he has two broken vertebraes? .... no! it'll be thoroughly irresponsible to let him ride tomorrow. there's always next year RDP...bike racing will be there

If Stoner loses the title it is Stoner's fault - the first guy you need to beat is your teammate. There are generally no team orders in MotoGP - as it should be.

Spot on. Too early to be worrying about the championship and team rules and we want it to go down to the last race dont we?

What happened with Rossi? I wasn't aware of a new bike/parts this round? A fairly major improvement on last week. Jums must have put some jungle juice in the ducati fuel drums!!

Hopefully not on a Ducati. . . Pramac has had a terrible year.

Yep for sure, the head of the team and the man with the most experience in the field, watch for a warm up improvement on race pace too.

Who knows Rossi may yet be able to stick the Ducati in the way of the top three for a few corners.

Yes, jb, he has interpreted what rossi wants/needs and the new direction is probably his, and hence no development in his absence as presiozi et al possibly don't know where he is headed, having been singularly unsuccessful in resolving the problems of the bike themselves over several years.

Stoner seems to have had set up problems since silverstone whilst lorenzo and yamaha have progressed; I have been aware all along that lorenzo is this good talpa, hence my rage at the jerez torpedo as I knew the possible 30 points stoner lost through no fault or error of his own could be vital.

Stoner can set up and ride (or ride around) the bike to be fast enough, but this seems to be at the cost of running out of tyres as has been said on this thread, or fuel as lex says, at the end of the races; I am not sure which.

Pedrosa is my pick for the race, he doesn't have to preserve a competitive position in the championship at this time, and when he is having a good week-end does not always show everything in practice. I am not sanguine about stoner finding much between qualifying and the race, such is not his usual wont.

I sort of think that we are going to see an estoril repeat.

Pedro to track Lollo till about 4 laps from the end and take it in the final laps.

Stacey to take 3rd again

Yes Jlo did well and he most certainly dominated qualifying, but if CS would have had time for one more lap I recon he would have done JLo’s time! We’ll see tomorrow as CS is not doing to great on the race rubber but that could be a setup problem and QP is one thing and racing is another.

1. Stoner

2. Pedro

3. Lorenzo

4. Dovi

5. Simo

Should be a great race and CS always rides well here and what makes it even more interesting is that CS cant afford to be behind Jlo anymore often

+1. He's a hard wee ....... isn't he!

Stoner seems to be struggling with set up which means he must be getting pushed, he is usually able to ride round any issues...just shows how close him and Lorenzo must be pushing - would love to see a battle between them similar to Stoner/Rossi in 2008!

Rossi seems to of found something which is good, still a good second off the pace though 4th place finished is about 4/10ths off the pace...Rossi could do something here if he's able to find a couple of tenths.

Well if stoner can get in front any thing's possible. Stoner can be hard to pass, but honestly my money is on Lorenzo, his race pace blindly quick, he's looked the goods all weekend.

By the way Yamaha should keep this livery for the rest of the year methinks. . .

True, if he can disrupt Jorge and maybe tire him out a bit he could possibly win, Pedrosa could be the big shock though.

Totally agree, the M1's look stunning with that livery!

Yeah give Spencer extra qualifying time so he can get pole. Have you ever said anything that was a declaration of you love for him? Lorenzo is the reigning world champion, he has kicked Spencer's arse plenty. History lesson over.
