Why would another competitive factory team NOT be good for MGP at large?

I said the Yamaha/Honda dominance is not good for MotoGP.

Edit: While it might be exciting for fans of a certain color, at large, it doesn't really set a good precedent. .... we haven't had a satellite bike victory in a ....... decade almost.

I would LOVE to see 5 mfg on the track with a chance to win each week!!! I will root for Yamaha ever week, but oh the racing.. Oh, oh... Oh, GOD... The racing..

Yeah.. Just came a bit..

Sucks that Suzuki will probably lose Vinales to Repsol Honda it seems.

I think the GSXR-R has a lot of potential to be gotten from it if they can develop it.

It would be wicked to see the zooks getting back on the podium again....

Id be happy to see Dani swap places with Vinales. He could be of great benefit in getting them competitive as his development skills and experience are what they really need right now.

He has been on song since the arm pump fix and could well win a few races at the right tracks if the stars align.

Source on that? I'm not disagreeing with you and frankly I think he is the hottest project out there at moment but isn't he locked up until 2018?
Edit just read the other pages, Got a bit excited and replied

Hopefully in time the KTM will be right there! With Red Bull on side you'd think funds won't be an issue! Could get really exciting!!!
I think you need a great deal more than funds to be successful. Ducati has never lacked funds. Philip Morris is a fairly stout sponsorship partner. I think KTM will have an uphill battle to compete for anything inside 10th place for a while.

Even this thread can't get away from this stupid Rossi hating!! I'd love KTM to get this bike competitive, 5+ manufacturers all competitive would be so good for the Championship!!!

Respect the post count noob! You know who you're talking about there? Wilski is legend 'round here. Don't even look him in the eye new guy, you're not there yet.

You've been warned.

Hope they do better than their previous foray into MotoGP.
Are they still pursuing the no-factory-team idea?

I can see this forum is full of 'Legends' even if they are clueless morons!!

Didn't you know, the bigger the post count the bigger the ...... There's a strong correlation between post count and personality disorders, schizoid, ASPD, at least in my observation. You will never win any debate against these types, they have all day every day to sit in front of the PC excluding everyone and everything else and log millions of web pages of essentially non essential data and tidbits to shoot down any opinion you may have. On another note, they do certainly provide entertainment...:)

Keine tausend Meter.
They ain't gon do ..... They don't spend enough on it (fact)
Interesting that they use suspension from a fellow Austrian company called ............ Not joking.

A very good company actually. Back in my club racing days - ........... made the most expensive (and most sought after) steering damper. They made good suspension as well.
I won't predict what they'll do in the premier class - but they had quite a good run against the top factory bike in F2 class.

I think some of you guys may be in for a surprise if Red Bull is dumping a whole lot of money into KTM. Red Bull has some of the best motorsports engineers on the planet working for them...god help MotoGP if they ask Adrian Newey to explore aerodynamic design on a motorcycle.
