KTM boss attacks Zarco's MotoGP Form

KTM boss attacks "simply unacceptable" Johann Zarco MotoGP form

Wow! Harsh words there from the boss.
Zarco was already struggling with form in the latter stages of his stint with Tech3 Yamaha.
Could it really be all down to his mental side?

“It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt”

Stefan Pierer....in 2016 he stated "we are in MotoGP to beat HRC"....yeah sure.

They just have a .... bike right now. Zarco may not be the next Stoner, but he is a 2 time world champ FFS.

Stefan Pierer, needs to grow up, dunderhead Asparagus is in his 3rd season with them, where was he the 1st season 17th in the standings
Zarco has had 4 races on the KTM and has scored 7 points.
Asparagus scored 17 in the whole season.

I bet by the end of the season Zarco will have a lot more than 17 points.

The mere suggestion that the trellis frame may be part of their problem is a taboo subject in the KTM camp. They appear an arrogant bunch that clearly put the bike (and their own pride) before the riders requests.

Pol seems the only one that can do anything with it and that requires him over riding the thing on a knife edge for race distance just to put it somewhere in the top ten. They can tell themselves that their bike is fantastic and only a few 10th's off the pace if it helps them sleep at night but results indicate that the thing is rubbish.

and on what basis? Being competitive in motocross? :D
People accuse HRC of being arrogant, but "at least" they are the most winning team in the history of MotoGP.

It is known that Zarco has said quite openly that he does not like the bike but so what...there's no excuse for KTM's points of view right now IMHO.

This is not unlike the dynamic at Ducati with the old trellis frame that they clung to for so long. I hate falling to old stereotypes - but as someone who is half German (not so different than Austrians in that regard) arrogance is kind of a built-in-the-DNA aspect of the Austrians.

Motocross and Enduro-wise, they have good reason to be prideful. Great bikes. Love my SX-F 450.

reading this reminded me of the rich kid who sucks at school and goes "all my teachers are stupid and so are my classmates" :D

I can think of one person who certainly beat the trend, Alan Sugar, now Lord Sugar, however he wasn't a rich kid.
BTW I'm sure there are hundreds more.

So they say they will never win if they ditch the steel tube frame

https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/ktm-steel-chassis-ducati-pierer/4388101/

He wants their race bikes to look like their street bikes??? Does he mean the full fairing RC8 that they stopped selling because as KTM says 'it was too dangerous for the roads'... What happened to race on Sunday sell on Monday as he so strongly believes in?

Ducati are stupid for going away from the steel frame? Regardless of how well their MotoGP bikes have been doing over the last few seasons Dovi would be far better off with a bike that performed more like the KTM does... (I'm speechless)

I thought KTM CEO Stefan Pierer began his life as an engineer but a quick look reveals he started out as a sales assistant, talk about believing your own .........

I'd like to know what people have against a steel trellis frame, isn't it not exotic enough for you perhaps, or is it ugly, tbo I think its a nice looking bike regardless, just wish it was a different colour.

I have a bike with a steel frame and have nothing against them?

I dislike hypocritical wankers like this KTM clown who will criticise Ducati's MotoGP racing efforts (when they currently have arguably one of the best bikes on the grid) when the best KTM have ever mustered is a 3rd position in Valencia....? I'd love to know if the interviewer could keep a straight face when he said that and proceeded onto his ........ rant.

Have you read anything about Stefan Beirer?
He believes in his product, maybe Ducati should have stayed with their trellis frame after all they won with Stoner on a trellis frame. Haven't won anything since have they?
KTM have been in the top 2 in Moto3 since 2012 (trellis frame) 4 firsts and 2 seconds (Championships).
In moto2 1st season 2017 they won 3 races and most of the rest of the year Oliveira was in the top 6 in 2018 they won 6 races and took 2nd and 3rd in the championship all again on trellis frames, so lets put this in perspective, they've come from nowhere to be considered potential championship winners in Moto2 and are champions in Moto3, I can see them doing it in MotoGP, but it will take longer.

Yeah I can read fine you smart ..... So, Ducati won a championship with a steel trellis frame and still went away from it because they are a bunch of idiots. Is that what you are saying?? What the .... would Ducati and Stoner know, they should listen to you.

If you have a problem with other peoples opinions then maybe forums aren't for you, genius.

Where have I criticised you?
I have given you known facts, anybody can fiind them on the web. All I've done is give a different statement, not condemmed anyone least of all you, yet you are attacking me, why?
Maybe if Ducati had stuck to the trellis maybe they'd have more championships by now, but we will never know will we.

I'm afraid I don't get the link between Lord Sugar's success and KTM's management's pretentiousness/critic attitude towards Ducati

Only in what is possible regardless of the business, he is a very opinionated person, read some of his attacks on other firms.:)
