Agree about most of your points. Life offers many contradictions bro. 1984. Its happening. Meanwhile I wanted to go to Indy again. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Oh yeah, I mean I personally don't want it to come down to a choice of having a ring stolen from my finger or being ... ...... I'd like to avoid both altogether and find a better solution. However, given the realities of our political system, no sane, rational person will ever run for political office. So we're stuck with the system we deserve.

I would have gone to Indy in spite of everything I typed only because it's infinitely more preferable than going to Texas...a state that should be lopped off of the United States. But yeah life is all about the contradictions and hypocrisy. 1984 indeed. Endless "war" against non-existent enemies and the like.

Come enjoy our featureless, barren, brown landscape.

Home to a justice system that doesn't care if it gets things wrong.

Brags about executing people year after year.

Gave us a while slew of ...... politicians.

It's basically the desert region of the Deep South.

Corpus Christi - Okay
Dallas - Okay in spots
Houston - Okay in very few spots
Odessa - Okay in a very few spots, If you drink enough

i can tell you this, indy wasn't impressive AT ALL, but i had a blast.

all i'm saying is, don't be so hard on places! open your little minds a little more. i often times have a blast in .... hole towns.

i have family in north texas & have had fun up there! sure, it's nothing special but there's a lot of cool ....!

I was mostly joking... In Texas many times a year and have a ball about all of them.

I have lived all over the United States, and Germany... and so far I have not found a better place to live and run a business, now I will admit that I do not plan to retire here, but thats many years from now. As for the politics its all smoke and mirrors, the state government has very little power, and the cities are very liberal. Austin has its music scene, Dallas has its arts district and sports, and Houston has.... But the one thing that makes Texas great is that stuff gets done here, ideas come to fruition, and everywhere you look there are building projects.
