Krop reporting Indy may be back on the calendar

True, we always get something 10-15 minutes away from the track. You can normally get a nice room for 129 a night and split it with a bud. As far as them raising prices, i wouldnt care to go 100 bucks instead of 79, it ridiculously cheap as it is and a 100 would still be cheap. The track is not idea, but much better than when it started and the event itself is second to none. Very fun weekend.

I'm not terribly worried about the increased rate, just frugal enough to try and save any money I can.

Im tighter than a snare drum myself, but 75 bucks for 3 days of action is a bargain. Realistically, who here that has been to Indy would not have gone if 3 day pass was 100-125 dollars

I can't disagree it's a great value. I had looked into going to COTA in '13 to see F1 (knowing it would be the last year of the good motors) but damn near had a heart attack after seeing just how much the cheap seats are. I think I could do the whole paddock club thing at MGP for less.

Indy is back on? Sweet, lets get the band back together again.

I think it is still a long shot, but I am warming up the 1974 Dodge Monaco just in case... It's 306 miles to Indy, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark.... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Or

We're on a mission from God.

Interesting to see people think $100 for 3 days is expensive. Indy is a no-go for me, the CAD dollar adds 50% to all costs. At the F1 GP here it's $200/3 days and you don't get a seat. If you want a seat minimum is $300. Don't get me started on beer/food prices...

I'm going to COTA next year for the first time. I already paid so much money for hotel and flight. It looks like I'm paying double the normal rate for my hotel. Indy is not as bad?

Indy is awesome. Half the price. But COTA is great too. Either way you'll have a great time.

When are you next attending an American race, or any GP race for that matter?
Not sure actually, given the news that Indy may be back, I'd really like to return there. COTA is fantastic, but March/April is more difficult to get away than August. So if anything, Indy.

Honestly Mike, if you're interested in a USGP, both are like picking between two sons. You'll love them both. The paddock access is second to none at Indy, the track is spectacular in Austin.

If Indy is on, wifey and I plan to be there.
Is that official? And does that mean they got in with a discount? Any idea from what to what the fee ended up being? Both MotoGP and F1 are ruining the sport with their outrageous fees IMO.

Anyone tried VIP package? Or is it just huge waste of money?
It not a waste if u have it to waste. If you're serious about Indy, and if it really is back, then at that time PM me or Shovelhead. We'll get u set up with a sweetass suite deal. Better than VIP Village.

Thanks. I'll definitely do so.
