dont do it james, hold out for a better more competitive ride or you will end up like hodgson.
i thought hanspree honda were thinking of coming to motogp and bringing jt with them.

Tech 3 Yamaha? What? At least wait until he can get a better ride with probably more support anyway
<

He needs to take whatever he can get, superbikes has nothing left to offer him, motogp experience is valuable and real talent will always shine through.

he's already said a million times he won't go unless he gets a good ride. he definitely won't go to a team with dunlops. everybody put your keyboards away.

Tech3 wont have dunlops next year. Still I doubt JT will betray Honda and go to Yamaha, considering it's not even the official team.

Bad idea on all parts. JT should accept nothing except teams that get regular high finishes. It would make tech 3 look worse when he does badly too.

Although i am not opposed to factories taking risks and hiring extremely talented riders from less taped resources, i don't feel any superbike rider has a place demanding factory machinery.

If JT accepts nothing less than a factory ride, he wont be in MotoGP in 08. It seems that most teams are fairly sorted with works riders. There might be some shuffling, but I cant see JT taking a factory ride from anyone not already in the series or coming from 250.

Tech 3 are rumoured to be on Stones next year, pretty decent rubber. I think it all depends on the deal Poncey has with Yamaha, 08 Yamahas with a few engineers from the factory could be quite competitive. At the moment its hard to say how good the Tech 3 machines are, they are riding on crap rubber, with fairly ordinary riders. These guys would be doing ..... with Dunlop shod anything.

I think he'll end up on a satellite machine, assuming Burnett is talking to everyone what do you choose, D'antin, Poncey, Gresini, LCR, Montiron, Roberts.

Ok, so the last one was a joke.

Sorry I forgot Gresini is a satellite team. Hmmm. Well ok. but Gresini is the only 1 to accept.

+1

We/he shouldn't rule out Tech3. As you said, it depends on the deal they get with Yamaha (and Bridgestone). It will also depend on how much more power Yamaha can squize out of their engine the next two moths. I don't think a Fiat powered snail will attract many with JT's ambitions.

Following his successful test ride of Pedrosa's bike during the close season, he could replace Hayden !!!!!

Wether those 10 riders change or not is a different thing but there's bound to be a queue forming for Bridgestones and I doubt very much that tech3 are at the front of it. I can't see Bridgestone substituting the money that Dunlop invest in the tech3 team either.
Unless Michelin/Yamaha see any value in another two bikes gathering data that might help the tyre situation for the factory Yamaha team, they're on Dunlops in 2008.

that would just be a waste of talent

don't be silly, if he is truly worthy of motogp he will make an impact enough to get noticed by the people who count. He's not exactly gonna be winning anything in his rookie season anyway. I'm not saying he should just take a crap ride as soon as hes offered, but being in tech 3 isn't that bad, and its certainly better than being in superbikes.

For once I agree with you.

If he loses this years WSBK title then he doesn't deserve to go to Motogp, to chuck away a championship lead as big as he's had is pathetic (nicest word I could find).

I'm finding myself rooting for underdog Bayliss!

Underdog??????

As a side, I'd be thrilled if either of the two took home the crown.
