I think to be hopeful about a better bike this year, is like when everyone was so sure that Nicky's dirt-riding background would allow him make the Ducati work. Wishful thinking.

I will venture to say the bike WILL be better. But how much better?

I would also bet that heads have rolled over at Honda after last year.

Hell I may be completely wrong, wouldn’t be first time.

it’s stuff like this that keeps me watching though.

Tentatively planning to go to the German round this summer. Would love to meet up with anybody else on the forum going….

cheers

I agree. It's all relative since performance gains are usually achieved across the field. It's just who gained more. We do see instances where the previous year's bike seems better, but this, more often than not, is down to more knowledge of, and experience with, the older machinery and optimising it's setup while trying to unlock the full potential of the new bike.

With that said, I'm interested in seeing how Mir does on the Honda. There were times I'd watch him race with the Suzuki and felt that there was something not quite right. I'd see where he's not quite on it on corner entry/exit. I don't know if it's him or the bike, or both.
